I am a light weight backpacker. That is the reason I bought these shoes. Just finished my first trip and they did outstanding! Light weight good support, no rock bruises! Great shoe!

The Mindbender\'s fit nicely, are well made and are quite durable. I have noticed that they are quite breathable which is good for warm weather but am not so sure how these shoes would be in the cold of winter.
Brands I'd also recommend: Saucony, New Balance

Were as comfortable as slippers right out of the box. They accommodate my custom orthotics. Very lightweight and flexible, but have better rock protection than other lightweight trail running shoes I've tried. So far, so good: can't wait to test them out at my next 50k.

I am 5'9", 155 lbs and have fairly flat feet. I have been using the Vasque Velocity and wanted to give these a try as they are a tad lighter. I was at first a bit concerned about heel slip as they are lower than the velocity, but after running the lace through the eye loop and cinching them down a bit they were fine. They sure seem much lighter and quicker. I have put about 25 miles on them up in Auburn on parts of the Western States trail and they do the job. There was no discomfort at all on the first run. The toe box is pretty wide but if your feet are like mine (flat, overpronate) you will want that.
