Best skating shoes! Van's Old Skool shoes are the only shoes I will skate in. I ride an 8 and 1/2 inch wide deck with wide independent trucks and 62 mm wheels. I don't do flip tricks. I skate pools and concrete bowls. I skate Old Skool style. Van's Old Skools feel the best!

The greatest. Although these shoes aren't truely up to date with modern skate shoes these are the only skate shoes that I have had more than 1 pair of.

Girls Like 'Em Too! These shoes are RAD! I own 4 pairs of these in different colors and they rock!

Brink Caribbean (trinidad & tobago) These shoes just kick a** all the time! They look good, feel good, and even rock good. You should get some of these. Over here, though, we need an outlet for this product.

Love Those Vans. Girls love the guy shoes! I've always bought men's shoes because I usually can't find women's shoes in my size. I own a pair of Vans Old Skools in navy, and they look SHARP! They're very flexible and durable, and I can walk forever in them. However, after about a month of intense wear and skating the heck out of them, they're beginning to fall apart. Also, they don't have as much padding as I expected. All in all though, they're inexpensive and really cool.

Good looks, little support. Great shoes, yeah, but they ain't half as comfy as my old ones. I'm willing to sacrifice thick padding for looks, but it'd be nice to have a bit more on the bottom (sorry, I don't know -is that the insole?).

Don't cut SD winters! The Old School Vans look cool with shorts in the summer, but during a cold South Dakota winter they just don't cut it! These shoes keep feet vented and are great for a week at camp in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. They wear very quickly and are perfect skate shoes. All around they are pretty good summer shoes!

Vans Old Skools I skated in my Old Skools for awhile, and while they gave me a lot of "control" (big, really really padded skate shoes can feel like you're skating on pillows and don't give you as much "feel" of the ground and the board, in my opinion) they began to fall apart (granted, I wasn't exactly being nice to them) and didn't have much padding. If you want to run around town or just kick around every day, though, these shoes are cool and relatively inexpensive. After I stopped skating in them I just wore them as casual shoes and they lasted over a year. They look great. I'd recommend them.

Flamin'! I just got my shoes yesterday so I haven’t broken them in yet. I’ve been bending them and twisting them for some more comfort, right now they’re not exactly like walking on air, but you know what? It’s worth it! They look so cool. So the most that I want to get out of these shoes is comfort and that they last a long long time, I want to be able to say, when I’m a senior, I got these shoes when I was a sophomore! Because, come on, then they really will be old skool!

Hurt like hell. I bought these shoes and loved them immediately. I put them on and they were a perfect fit. Everything was fine until I went out. About an hour after putting them on, they started to hurt like hell. My feet were bleeding from these shoes. There is hardly any support in these shoes. It only took about an hour for my feet to start hurting. Insoles didn't work. These shoes look great, but are poorly made. Don't hurt your feet for these shoes.

Texas skater dude. When I first put these bad boys and started walking outside to go skateboard in them and they were sorta hard to walk because they sorta sticked to the ground.And then they lasted for about a month. But these shoes RIP! "literally"

bob from california. old school vans high top or low are the best shoes on earth. i had a pair of old shcool black on black the same shoe you might remember james hetfeild of metalica wearing for all those years.i wore my pair for 11 yrs. i had many pairs before that and many pairs since. ive been waring vans since 1980 and wish to continue waring them until i die in them. vans have taken me coast to coast.they will always be the ultimate california shoe. skate or die

Vans Black/White Old Skool - One of the most awesome shoes I've ever owned. They are so comfortable and look so awesome on your feet. They look really cool with black high socks too. They look a lot better with dark-colored cargo pants or khakis than they do with jeans. These shoes are an absolute must-have for any guy who likes Vans shoes. You won't regret buying them.

Perfect - I bought these as a Christmas present for my 36 year old son. He loves the old classic shoes. He was thrilled with the style and had them on immediatley. No complaints on the fit! He said they were perfect! The customer service at Zappo's is remarkable!

Didn't know they were canvas - I bought these for my husband, who only wears Van's or sandals. I didn't realize they were canvas, and he didn't really want canvas, so I will be returning them. I ordered him some other Van's that are leather, and he loves them as always.
