Must Buy!
First of all, I was very pleased with the shipment: arrived faster than I could've predicted. Secondly, these are by far the best shoes I have ever purchased. Ever! I only had to cut some extra material on the inside to make them better, not a lot.
But overall they are the best. The material inside is soft and leaves my feet dry even in hot, sunny California. I'm planning on ordering another pair to match the rest of my wardrobe.
If you want a pair of stylish, comfortable shoes you can wear out on a date or to the supermarket or to hang around the house in these will not let you down!!

I got this shoe around February. Yea sure it was a great shoe until I started wearing it. The hemp bamboo thing did not work out. The shoe fell apart a few days ago like a couple of building blocks.

What's that smell?
Ok, first off these are great looking Vans. They are really comfortable even when wearing all day and night; hanging in a park or walking around the hot city concrete and black-top. However, I am not able to wear them as much as I would like, because they now REEK. Now I don't have smelly feet, I usually wear my Con All-Stars or Top Siders w/o socks all summer, with no stink, but after wearing these Vans only a couple times they smell bad. The scent conjures up images of shoe less people. I'm not giving up though; I have stuffed them with newspaper and put them in the window, hoping to diffuse the rank and start new. In all this is a bit much for a shoe that claims it has some sort of odor absorbing qualities and is meant to be worn sock-less. I am meaning to pick up some supplementary odor eating type insole to help the issue, but we shall see.

Rope -
I have had the shoe for a few weeks. The rope styling around the shoe is fraying.I'm wondering how bad this is going to get? Will it take away from the look of the shoe? We will see!

Great shoes could use more vents. The jute/hemp is coming undone. Awesome comfort and looks good, great for walking on sand and just being lazy w/shoes on of course.

These shoes are soo easy to just slip on for every day and the soles are REALLY squishy and comfy... Oh! And the bottom part of the shoes looks like it might fray or something, right? Well no they are really sturdy...by far the best shoe Vans has made in my opinion. Buy this shoe!

Great shoes many complements problem is after they get wet and worn in the hemp sidewall gets kind of crappy I used them for skating though good walking shoes.

Love 'em!
The first time I wore them I got a blister, but ever since there hasn't been anything. They're comfortable and easy to put on. I love just being able to slide my foot in them when I'm in a hurry or just going somewhere that won't take long.

Van Madera -
Very comfortable, good-looking shoe. Like not wearing shoes. I liked my first pair so much that I ordered a second pair. Arch support is not so good -- wouldn't want to be on my feet all day in them.
