There's something special about this shoe. It's not quite an Era, or an Authentic, or a Slip-On, but more of a combination of all 3. Because of that, it gives almost a more "mature" feel to the shoe, which is often a problem I have with other Vans (sometimes I feel I've out-grown them). The shoe itself gives a nice, simple, black (I got the all black ones) foundation to your look, which really allows you to wear them with anything, dark jeans, light jeans, rolled-up jeans, khakis of all colors, shorts, etc. A really great shoe, and so far my favorite pair of Vans ever, which is saying something because I've been wearing Vans for 10+ years now.
Brands I'd also recommend: PF Flyers are cool, but nothing can replace Vans

As the owner of a lot of Vans sneakers the LPE's are the most comfortable sneaker you will ever put on your feet. Vans has done something that makes these the most enjoyable shoe you'll ever own. I'm hoping they have them in other colors not just black on black. If you like Vans I truly suggest you try a pair of LPE's you will not be disappointed.

Hi, I believe I bought Vans for my child the last few times and notice the price keeps going up and the quality keeps going down. The thickest of the sole, the rim of shoe is less then what it use to but the price remains the same. I'm disappointed with VANS. I remember when i was a kid VANS were a shoe of choice for me, but don't think I will buy anymore of the VANS brand. I would understand if quality got better I would pay more, but that's not the case.
Brands I'd also recommend: Not vans!

The one drawback of most Vans (for me at least) is the large, somewhat oversize sole. The LPEs are great because they maintain the style and comfort Vans is known for minus the cumbersome sole. Please note if you are using these for skateboarding you should probably opt for the suede versions of these. One or two skate sessions in the canvas and I already have a few holes.

Just like the description says, looks like the Authentic but built like the Era. Nice amount of padding around the ankle and the sole but not too much. Stylish yet built to shred. Very versatile shoe.

Just got mine in the mail: Peacoat Black Size: Men's 10.5, and they're awesome! Great dark navy blue color. They have more of a "skate" shoe look when they're on your feet. More round than typical Era's or slip ons or classics. I rock the "no show" socks with these and shorts for a great summer look. Fits right. I always wear 10.5 Vans and these are no exception. I might get the grey heathered ones too, but might get too dirty too quick? We'll see. Great shoe, great price, great buy!

I love these shoes, classic style without the chunky soles that you find on almost every other shoe out there. All in all I\'ll probably stick with this shoe for a long time.

I love Vans, always have, always will. These shoes are super cute even though they are pretty simple. Look great with anything and make your feet look smaller. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cute simple shoe that's not too expensive.

This shoe is great for around the house. Basically a step-up from a slipper. But for any other activity, not great. No arch support at all and not really too comfy after a few hours.

My son hates to shop at department stores for shoes so he uses Zappos only for his online shoe shopping choice. He loves his Vans. There's more choice size, variety, colors; plus can't beat the quality and price. This is the only place my kids shop for shoes online now. Plus can't beat the speedy delivery, every time I order I usually receive within 1-2 days. Thanks Zappos.

The shoes are great but the color is a bit different than shown, the bright green pair is more of a lime color. It's still interesting and unique!

Whats there to say? They are Classic Vans. No doubt they made her jaw drop when she unwrapped them and when she put them on. Can't go wrong with this all-around sweet shoe.
