Vans shoes are the best! My first grade son is tough on his shoes, and Vans wins by a landslide. They are tough, durable and stylish all at the same time. I like how easy they are to slip on and off and how well they are made! This is our second pair. He still has his pair from last year, and there's not one tear or stitch evident. You can't go wrong with these shoes. It's an excellent shoe at an excellent price.

This is not the Vans I used to know, even 2 years back. Tongue is not padded, ankle yolk is not padded, upper is flimsy, and the velcro is no longer wide, but narrow strips. Too flimsy an upper for the bulk of the sole. Wah!

Love these Vans. My kids have been wearing them for a few years now and have never been disappointed. They do run big, I had to return them twice before we found the right size, but Zappos is awesome and made it so easy!

These shoes look great but they are not comfortable. The heel rise in back is so high it digs in to the Achilles and causes pain. My son would not wear them for more than two minutes. I had to send send them back. He is 8 and wears a 3½. These shoes actually fit on my feet and I am a Woman's size 7. He is right they did hurt! Back to Converse Chucks. They are the best shoe on Earth.

These shoes are so cool but run a bit big. I had to return for a smaller size. Also they are kind of stiff. Not a lot of flexibility, which I think is better for an older child. Zappos was easy peasy as usual.

I bought these for my 5 year old son because he loves the pattern. I liked that they were sturdier than the regular slip-ons. He says they are his "favorite."
