My son loves these shoes. He gets compliments all the time. And, of course Zappos is great with shipping, ordering, returns and everything else. We got the wrong size the first time and it was a hassle free return.

My son chose these and he loves them. I do too. I have twin boys age 5, and they have been wearing Vans from Zappos since they were two. Vans are sturdy and well made. This style has suede, which makes them nice for fall. An excellent first day of Kindergarten shoe, and he was very pleased to wear them.

Great shoe! My son loves it! We are a Vans family and all wear them. Love this style and colors and design are cool. Can wear this shoe dressy or rough and tough! Runs at least a 1/2 size big.

My 5 year old son loves these shoes. He has been wearing them since the age of 3. He has a pretty wide foot and these seem to run big and wide enough. He plays hard, and the shoes seem to hold up pretty well. I am trying to get him to wear others so we can make these last longer.

Got these for my daughter. She was only wearing slip on vans up until this purchase. Complained of the rear heel cup rubbing her ankle at first, but she got used to it (different style) in two days. They seem well made, and will probably outgrow before she shreds them apart.
Brands I'd also recommend: Vans are hard to compete with for this age range. Well made, with heaps of color/style options to please most any child.

I love Vans in general and wanted to like this shoe. But within a few months of wearing them, I noticed a few problems: 1.) The Velcro couldn't withstand daily tugging and re-fastening and started to get un-sticky and also to actually peel off the straps; 2.) the smell! They trap odor like crazy. Finally had to relegate them to play-shoes-only status because my kid's feet smelled awful when he wore them. I would still buy Vans again, just not this particular shoe for my kid.

These shoes are so cool but run a bit big. I had to return for a smaller size. Also they are kind of stiff. Not a lot of flexibility, which I think is better for an older child. Zappos was easy peasy as usual.

They are a bit stiff, but my son has no problem with them. The design is not as visible as I'd hoped.

These shoes look great but they are not comfortable. The heel rise in back is so high it digs in to the Achilles and causes pain. My son would not wear them for more than two minutes. I had to send send them back. He is 8 and wears a 3½. These shoes actually fit on my feet and I am a Woman's size 7. He is right they did hurt! Back to Converse Chucks. They are the best shoe on Earth.

This is not the Vans I used to know, even 2 years back. Tongue is not padded, ankle yolk is not padded, upper is flimsy, and the velcro is no longer wide, but narrow strips. Too flimsy an upper for the bulk of the sole. Wah!

Love these Vans. My kids have been wearing them for a few years now and have never been disappointed. They do run big, I had to return them twice before we found the right size, but Zappos is awesome and made it so easy!

Vans shoes are the best! My first grade son is tough on his shoes, and Vans wins by a landslide. They are tough, durable and stylish all at the same time. I like how easy they are to slip on and off and how well they are made! This is our second pair. He still has his pair from last year, and there's not one tear or stitch evident. You can't go wrong with these shoes. It's an excellent shoe at an excellent price.

My son loves his Vans! These shoes fit his wide foot really well. They're "awesome" and they are such a breeze for him to get on himself (age six, still not rocking the laces...yet!). These are his everyday shoe and he loves them. We are definitely Vans loyal.

What can I say? Zappos is awesome. We received the shoes and they were too big, but called Zappos right away and they were on it, shipping out another pair the next day. My son is so happy with theses shoes, he loves them. Thanks Zappos for all your help and quick response. :0)
