My four year old loves Vans Classic Shoes; he's been wearing them for three years now. I simply forgot that these shoes run true to size and I got him half a size bigger. Other than that, he loves them! He still wears them with thick socks.
Brands I'd also recommend: Puma

My 10th pair of Vans. Great shoes and even better after beaten up and softened in the washer/dryer. 'No Shoes In the House' rule. Skateboard tough specs as expected and demanded. No store has them so I Zappomotized them with some help from my Dad.
Brands I'd also recommend: Heelys, Adidas, Palladium, Allen Edmonds, Puma

I first saw these a while back, and then forgot about them. When I started holiday shopping a remembered about them, but figured they'd be sold out. Lo and behold, Zappos still had them! I quickly bought them for my nephew, and now he's the freshest kid in kindergarten!

Love these! My 7 year old finds them comfortable, so easy to put on and take off, and they're stylish. I just wish they had wide sizes available for my other child.

A present for my seven year old nephew. Had bought him a pair last year for Christmas and he grew out of them. He didn't want to give them up! He loved them! Gave him a new pair this year much to his delight!

Zappos never lets you down; they have fast delivery and great products! Vans always run a full size bigger, so order one size smaller than your child's size. My son won't wear anything but Vans and was very excited when he opened them on Christmas morning put them on while still opening his other gifts with his jammies on and wore them all day! Thanks Zappos.

These are great shoes - well made, good graphics, my son loves them! They seem to run a little big, as other reviewers have reported. A cool, classic shoe that is a clear favorite.

My 5 year old son is crazy for these shoes. So far they are very sturdy, durable and, of course, fashionable. Just like when I was his age, Vans still makes high quality shoes that kids love. I bought a full size down from normal (per recommendations) and they fit perfectly. The width is slightly narrow, so these required "thinner" socks than our usual tube socks. Vans still has it!

My son wears an Asics - size 1 - with room to grow a little. A lot of the reviews for these Vans said they run big. This is absolutely true. We first ordered a size 13.5 - we ended up having to exchange it two more times for a final size of 12. They were still even a little loose on the heel, so I washed and dried them. They do look great now, however, and seem sturdy. Worth the price. He loves them! We got the skull. As usual, customer service was great. They actually let us have two pair out to be returned at the same time, while they sent the size 12. They were here next day - before school started! So, if you are going to order these, believe that they really do run big...2 sizes in our case. I'd say to start with a whole size smaller than your kid normally wears to start out.

My 7 year old loves slip on Vans. They run a bit big so we get a half size down. Great for running out the door quickly. Lots of personality.

So cute and unique. My son loves them. However, believe the other reviewers... these run very big. My 7 son wears a 2 in most shoes but needed a 1.
