Van slip-ons a hit!!! I ordered these Vans out of nostalgia for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. I remember how much my son (who is now 32) loved his Vans years ago. Anyway, they fit beautifully, look adorable, and they're FUN!!

Cool Kid Shoe - They were adorable and matched the style of clothing he wears (Green Day, Social Distortion t-shirts for toddlers) He has been only walking for a month and the shoes were supportive enough. Would defiantly buy them again.

Perfect shoe for a 5 year old today - My five year old loves his. They are the black and white ones though. It is great to have him be able to slip them on by himself. Very stylish and he gets many comments from other little boys.

About Vans Kids
Vans started in Anaheim, CA in 1966 1966 Paul Van Doren and three partners opened the first store at 704 E. Broadway in Anaheim, Calif. on March 16. The Van Doren Rubber Company is unique in that it manufactures shoes and sells them directly to the public.
Early 70s - Skateboarders who like Vans’ rugged make-up and sticky sole are seen sporting Vans all over Southern California.
1976 - The Vans #95, now known as the Era, with a padded collar and different color combinations, is designed by Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta and becomes the shoe of choice for a generation of skateboarders
1979 - The Vans #44 is introduced and with the help of skateboarders and BMX riders, Vans Slip-ons become the rage in Southern California. By the end of the 70s, Vans has 70 stores in California and sells through dealers both nationally and internationally
1997 - Vans begins creating the world’s leading action sports series with the purchase of the Triple Crown of Surfing; by 2000 the Vans Triple Crown Series will include events in skateboarding, BMX, surfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and freestyle motocross
Fun Facts/Trivia:
1982 - Vans Slip-ons gain international attention and appeal when they are worn by Sean Penn in the film Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
2000 - Vans finances the production of Dogtown and Z-Boys, Stacy Peralta’s look at the beginnings of skateboarding and the personalities that evolved the sport. The film takes the Audience Award and Best Director Award at the Sundance Film Festival. The film is narrated by Sean Penn.

Bigger than listed - The Vans shoe seemed at least one half size bigger than listed. Or maybe it's just how they make their shoes. I would advise anyone ordering this shoe to order half a size less than your child's true foot size.

Cool but a little clunky - These shoes look great (got the flame dragons) and are easy for my son to get on himself, and he loves them. I ordered a half size down and he complained at first about them pinching his little toe, but I didn't notice any redness or problems after that. It looks like there's enough room. They do seem rather flat-footed, though, and inflexible; he falls a little more than usual in them (he's 2 1/2) and I think a bigger size would present the same problem. I'd get them for him again, though, esp. as he gains coordination -- he really does love them. We just wear something else to play basketball!

This cute is very cute! I bought the plaid and skull bones print for my son. Everyone that notices the shoes will compliment him on them. These shoes are easy to slip on and off, and I assume that they are comfortable for my son because he's only one, but he doesn't seem to mind wearing the shoes.

Vans Kids slip on with flames - These shoes are very cute and comfortable. They’re in right now, but my son picked them for the flames on the shoe. Overall good size and comfort, also Zappos has the best selection for these shoes.

Favorites - I bought these for my son three months ago and he absolutely has to wear them every day. He was only 20 months old when I bought them and already he KNEW they were going to be his favorites. Even when running around and kicking balls they stay on (I thought they might slip off...) He's really too young to have fashion preferences except for these, these he's got to have! No problems with them, with or without socks.

My son LOVES Vans! My son love Vans Slip-Ons. He’s 4 and has owned 2 pairs of the checks. Now he is growing out of his current pair and I got online and he loves the new spider slip on ones! I love them because they are easy for him to do all by himself.
