The longest lasting Vans in this type of style yet. The rest last my busy boys a couple of hard playing weeks then they're destroyed. This one has held up so far.

Unsatisfied! Really liked this shoe until the leather started coming apart, there is a huge hole on the side. We have had these shoes for only 4 1/2 months and he has other shoes so he does not wear them everyday. Would not buy them again. Bought Adidas shoes a few months before these and they are still perfect. Hope this helps!

First of all, I love Vans, and so does my son. The problem is, he inherited his mom's wide feet. They're not "extra wide," they're just wide. He's worn New Balance wide shoes and they fit him fine, but we were hoping to get him some of these cool Vans instead this time. A couple reviewers of these Vans Chukkas said that they worked fine for their kids with wide feet, but this was definitely not the case for us. I ordered my son a half size larger than he's currently wearing (a 5 vs. a 4.5) and they were still too tight, to the point where they were squeezing his toes together without them even being laced up! So I would advise against anyone ordering these for a child with a wide foot. Go with Asics or New Balance instead.

I'd also recommend: Asics, New Balance

These are for my 9/10 year old. He loves them. He has a bit of a wide foot, but the M width was perfect for him. Great color, great style. I bought them a half size too big for room for growth and they fit him about 1/2 size too big, so these are true to size. Vans are a great product and have been around for a long time.

I bought these for my seven year old son and he loves them! They are so well made, but run very small. We had to return them and order the next size up., but with Zappos' fast shipping he had his new favorite shoes in no time.

I'd also recommend: Converse.

Boy wearer loves the color and the style and the VANS-ness, but darn these shoes are not well made. I don't understand why the discount store knockoffs we bought for many years were so much sturdier than the real thing.
