I wore out a pair of Vans in 1989 so I figured they might be a good bet. My almost 4 year old son has big opinions about shoes and he asked to wear these, wears them everywhere which equals, comfortable and stylish (his favorite word).
Brands I'd also recommend: Jumping Jacks, Kamik kids, keen, crocks

Sizing was way big; had to re-order twice. I bought them for my little girl, to go with all her dark blue and gray leggings and they do look super cute. She can get them on herself and says they are comfy, but runs big. Order smaller.

Ridiculously cute shoe for my toddler. Durable canvas is very strong. Great color vibrant blue. The velcro straps have curled up a bit on the ends, but I'm not too bothered by this. This is my first purchase of Vans and now I want some for myself.

I bought these shoes for my three year old son. They are super cute! I am not a big fan of Velcro shoes, but these look great. They seem thicker and more durable than converse. I do wish they would make some with laces though! Perfect price and wonderful service from Zappos! You guys are the best!

Great shoes, bought a pair for my 3-year-old and 1-year-old. They love them and I think they look great. In addition to always getting great shoes from Zappos, the experience is always great. Free shipping and they arrive faster than if I went to a mall to try and find the shoes.

I just love these shoes. I'm pretty sure my almost 2 year old has outgrown them, but he keeps begging to put them back on. They're cute and stylish with his clothes, and they wear (and wash) so incredibly well. There was some scuffing of the front toe cap (to be expected), but it comes clean with a wet cloth or in the wash. My son fell in a huge mud puddle, and I was sure the shoes were ruined. Nope. Just fine after a trip through the laundry. They seem to have more padding than Chucks and they are more structured through the heel. We've had both, and liked them, but these just seem a little sturdier. These and a pair of Vans slip ons that I bought for my older son have both been repeat purchases. Any shoe I like well enough to buy 2 times is a keeper, in my book.

My daughter looks adorable in these shoes and they are really comfortable, she\'s always happy to wear them. She gets a lot of compliments too! We have the yellow ones, and when she outgrew them, I bought them again in the next size up. \r\n\r\nPerfect shoes for a toddler.

My toddler loves these shoes! His feet are a little wide, but that wasn\'t a problem with these shoes, he seems to be really comfortable wearing them. We have the monster print which he was excited about and it\'s just a really great sneaker. I would definitely buy these again!

These shoes are awesome! My son was very comfortable walking around in these shoes the from the first time he wore them. He has wide feet and he has not shown any discomfort with these shoes on. And if they were uncomfortable for him, I could send them back with no problem because Zappos rocks!

I purchased these Vans Toons for my 3 year old in two styles, both the slip on and the double strap. Both are adorable and he loves the "guys" on them. The slip on style is a little tricky to put on, especially if you are in a rush. You definitely need socks on to hasten the process. The double straps are easy for both of us to put on quickly and he likes being able to do it himself. The shoes fit a little larger, but not quite as large as Converse run, if you are used to those. Overall, great value and great shoe.

This is a perfect sneaker for my 3.5 year old son. The zebra characters are so cute but certainly don't appear girl-ish. And after a day full of outdoor play, they washed up beautifully!

Very cool, but true skater fit - These are great-looking, but they did feel a bit big. Also, you need to know that they are true skater fit. I wouldn’t order them for new walkers, because they are a bit heavy and very flat-soled.

Be warned. These shoes are not really orange. They glow almost pink & don't match anything with orange in it. Great fit & style. Tricky color. Especially for a boy. We got more use from them in blue.
