Love `Em - I love my black and white Vans. They were a bit loose on me, but I know that if I purchased a smaller size, they would have been too small. Overall, they're great! I wear them all the time, and, unlike my other shoes, I really try to keep these ones looking new and clean.

My daughter was desperate for a pair of Vans so I ordered her these. She loves them. They fit really well and look sturdy. She has a slight wide foot, but these fit really well. True to size. Zappos once again excelled themselves. Fab company.

About Vans Kids
Vans started in Anaheim, CA in 1966 1966 Paul Van Doren and three partners opened the first store at 704 E. Broadway in Anaheim, Calif. on March 16. The Van Doren Rubber Company is unique in that it manufactures shoes and sells them directly to the public.
Early 70s - Skateboarders who like Vans’ rugged make-up and sticky sole are seen sporting Vans all over Southern California.
1976 - The Vans #95, now known as the Era, with a padded collar and different color combinations, is designed by Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta and becomes the shoe of choice for a generation of skateboarders
1979 - The Vans #44 is introduced and with the help of skateboarders and BMX riders, Vans Slip-ons become the rage in Southern California. By the end of the 70s, Vans has 70 stores in California and sells through dealers both nationally and internationally
1997 - Vans begins creating the world’s leading action sports series with the purchase of the Triple Crown of Surfing; by 2000 the Vans Triple Crown Series will include events in skateboarding, BMX, surfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and freestyle motocross
Fun Facts/Trivia:
1982 - Vans Slip-ons gain international attention and appeal when they are worn by Sean Penn in the film Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
2000 - Vans finances the production of Dogtown and Z-Boys, Stacy Peralta’s look at the beginnings of skateboarding and the personalities that evolved the sport. The film takes the Audience Award and Best Director Award at the Sundance Film Festival. The film is narrated by Sean Penn.

Kids Checkerboard Vans - My son wanted some shoes just like his daddy. He is very proud to wear his Vans...and gets compliments from all the kindergarteners at school who think they are "cool."

Great for my right foot...hard on the left. Overall this is a super cute shoe! I bought them in "flamingo" and wish I had them in the blue and black too. They look great with jeans and I'm sure will be cute with cropped pants when the weather is warmer. My only "con" is that the top digs into my left foot, right below the toe joints. The right one has no problems. I'm hoping it stretches out with some wear and with socks it's uncomfortable but not unbearable. I would recommend and love them!!

PERFECT - The first time I had these shoes was when we visited my aunt in CA when I was eight. Haven't been able to find them since in the Midwest. So happy I was able not only to buy the original but get a pair in white too! I thought they were a darker shade of blue but it was so long ago I could be wrong. I'm just glad to have found them. THANKS!

My Granddaughter just had to have a pair of red Vans, we looked all over Orange County, CA and couldn't find them. Found them on your site, but the incredible part was it was after 5:00 on a Friday night and I told her they wouldn't ship until Monday. Were we surprised when they arrived on Monday UPS red and the shipping was free.

My granddaughters, ages 9 and 11 love Vans. Especially the Authentic Core style. They have them in many colors and patterns. The bright colors seem to be what's in and of course the black and white are always right. Many thanks to Zappos for the free shipping policy that allows us to find just the right size for these growing little feet!

These shoes look great and are comfortable even without socks. Yes, I know, how trashy. I'd say they're even more comfortable than the Vans slip-ons I have. I like them so much that I want a pair in navy. The red color might put some people off, but really it goes with almost everything and still manages to stand out. I picked moderate arch support because I have no idea how you can tell if a shoe has arch support. I walked long distances in these and my feet didn't hurt. I wore them without socks part of the time and they didn't cut into my heel or anything like so many new shoes tend to do.

My daughter loves these! We chose the right shoe. They are comfortable, cool, and the right color for us! Usually she complains that her shoes hurt her feet, but we have heard no such complaints with these Vans. Zappos' service is always amazing, too!

While I love these Vans, my 6 year old son prefers the slip on version. They have proven to be just as comfortable and stylish as the "no-tie" Vans.
