Half Cabs are by far the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn or purchased. They are very stylish; however, I do not skateboard, but I am very active and ride a bike and walk a lot and they seem to rip pretty easily. That is my only problem with this sneaker. Besides that, they are perfect.

My 18-year-old loves these shoes for hardcore skateboarding. However, he wears through them very quickly. That might just be the nature of the skateboarding, though.

Perfect for skating. I did not think I would like these shoes because of the big toe, but the toe looks way better when you wear them. I had to buy pillow cushion inserts ($2) and they felt amazing. Great grip and the suede is also thicker than what I imagined.

Sickest shoe ever from Vans. The comfort was amazing. Amazing board feel, they're decently durable and just the best. Definitely will get many more pairs. The only thing is order a half size smaller because I ordered my normal size and they were really big. Also adding more footbeds is a good idea.

My son is thrilled we could find large sizes! My son, age 16 has been wanting a pair of Vans for several years. I have not been able to find a pair to fit his size 17 feet. I took a chance and ordered the pair of size 16's from Zappos and prayed. They fit and he loves them. He wants to be stylish but is limited to what I can find in his size. By the way, he is 6'8" and yes, he does play basketball. Thanks Zappos!

Yeah - Definitely one of the best skateboard shoes ever, although they wear out kind of quick. I’ve had about 6 pairs of them and still get ‘em occasionally. Careful though, they stretch, so buying half a size smaller isn’t a bad idea.

Pretty Good - I felt the shoe was exactly what I expected. A comfortable, stylish, and affordable shoe.

Vans Half Cab - Ok Vans, what's up? This is my fourth pair of Half Cabs and I just got them today, but when I got them, I noticed that they have changed the design. The tongue on them are a lot more flimsy and not as thick as on the previous model. Also, the heel on the shoes are a lot more thick and stiff. The stitches on the toe of the shoe sit a lot higher than my last pair and the toe on them come to more of a point. The only new thing I like about the design is that the heel is thicker so there is more support, but other than that, I’m mad about the new design. These are my favorite shoes and I don't understand why they would change the design on them. They are classics, but I’ll take what I can get. It seems like these are a little more bulky than the last pair, so they might last a little longer.

My order at Zappos - The best service I have ever had ordering over the internet. The shoes I ordered literally arrived the next day! 5 out of 5 stars!

Vans - Felt amazin’, but my heels started to bruise REALLY QUICKLY. They don’t last long, mine wore down in about 2-3 weeks. Maybe would have lasted a week or two longer.

Half Cabs...FO SHO - I put 15 years in with a board under my feet. I am too old to fall 3-15 times a day now, so I just chill. These are the shoes to do it in. If I was to skate in them, I think they wouldn’t last too long, but it is nothing a little shoe-goo wouldn’t fix. Get you some. Chicks dig them.

I Don't Skateboard But... I don't skateboard but I do a lot of urban exploring. These shoes are great. I am actually about to order another pair. There really isn't anything Vans could do to make these shoes better EXCEPT possibly adding more colors?

How can you not love them? A pure classic that doesn't go out of style...just pretend your Guy Mariano or Fred Gall from the 90's and shred.

Half cab - A classic shoe that will never go out of style or function, really good to skate in, super grippy and comfortable, they tear pretty fast but make up for it with everything else. Make sure to buy a half size smaller for a perfect fit as suede vulcanized Vans tend to stretch out quite a bit!

Same as 1988... Classics never die - Like the Old Skools and Sk8-Hi's, these are classics and (hopefully) here to stay! I like these as much as I like the Old Skools and Sk8-Hi's, and not just for skating - for everyday wear. They're very comfortable. The Vans Waffle Sole is the BEST in the business - great board feel, sticks to boards like no other. I've gone and tried other brands but I ALWAYS return to Vans.

Steve Caballero. Can't skate without him! Been wearing the Half Cab for close to 20 years now. In my opinion, hands down the best shoe for skating. The leather upper takes a little time to wear in, but that's the case with most leather shoes. As with most "Off the Wall" Vans, there is zero arch support. Again, excellent for skating.

Wow - I've never seen a better looking shoe and it skates really well. I ordered a size lower from 9.5 to 9 and it was perfect. Zappos' shipping is ridiculous and i would definitely buy from them again.

Vans Half-Cabs - These are some pretty gnarly shoes. I love the vulcanized outsole because of the great board feel. I did need to stick in an extra insole, but that’s ok. They skate great and the toe doesn’t wear out too fast which is good for me since I 360 flip everything. If you want great shoes, buy these. You won’t regret it.

Vans Half Cab - These shoes are gnarly. I learned so many tricks in the amount of time I had these. They have great grip, great flick, and it takes a while for the toe to wear down, and Vans vulcanized shoes are made 10 times better than any other company's vulcanized shoes.

For those who know... Any Cans Core classics are legendary and the half-cabs are no exception. Comfortable, stylish and pretty durable. Wearing Half Cabs makes you feel like a part of skating history. These are the shoes you'll remember when you're an old man reminiscing about the "glory days".
