Very comfortable, loose fitting, and the elastic is not tight around the calf. I wear these for Zumba.

Love these! Stuck on medication that made me gain 30 lbs. Trying to "make do", but these are brilliant: Cute style, incredibly comfortable; great price. They don't have pockets - my only complaint. A long top with pockets takes care of that. I'm 5'8" and temporarily fairly portly. Don't know how big XL usually is, but even with extra my "thigh-age", these are roomy. Like hanging around in jimjams.
I'd also recommend: Don't know. Just ordered others. Will let you know.

Love these! The fabric is light and cool and very comfortable for working out. I have a curvy figure and usually get bunches of material at my waist, but the drawstring on these makes them fit perfectly. I bought several pairs!
