About Umi Kids
Umi is exclusively a children's footwear company. The Umi founders and product development team bring over 80 years of combined experience to the brand, including work with well-known upscale retailers and European footwear brands. All Umi products are developed according to the unique needs of the growing child's foot and are manufactured of the finest materials and to the highest standards.
Umi understands and embraces the notion that style helps instill the self-assurance to smile bigger, laugh louder, and walk taller and it's evident in the shoes they create. From their unique, quality materials to their whimsical and quirky color combinations, they create style that fulfills their core purpose: "make children, and their feet, and their moms happy".
Umi looks at each season as a unique opportunity to take Umi style to a whole new level - including introduction of new outsole treatments, embellishments, and of course their signature use of specialty materials such as iridescent, printed and pebbled leathers.

Cute. But after two wearings my daughter had blisters where the strap meets her heels.
These shoes are working really well for my active 3 year old. They are cute, sturdy, and versatile. After a short time, she learned to get them on herself.

I ordered these shoes to go with my daughter's school uniform and they are wonderful! We are big Umi fans for fit, quality and durability. My daughter is a fan of the texture and ruffle band, which give a little style to what can otherwise be boring uniform shoes. The ruffle band is perfect b/c it helps with fit without being uncomfortable. We love the shoe and have ordered several sizes up to grow into for the next school year.
Adorable and nice quality but too narrow for my daughter, so I'm sending them back. :(

Super cute shoes. Love the purple flower detail and color scheme. A great and practical shoe that matches well with an entire wardrobe. They look really well made with a super sturdy soul and velcro closure.

Super cute, but they run big. I bought the size my girls normally wear (size 9 and 12), but they both were very large.
These are just as cute in person! I did have to return the first pair; a pom pom fell off within minutes of my daughter wearing them. But the second pair is just fine.
These are adorable shoes. They work great with dresses, pants, skirts and shorts-- so they are perfect for school when the girls can't wear sandals all the time due to playground time and PE. I will warn that the white toe part gets gray pretty fast but they still look great. Can be worn with or without socks and are of great quality and have comfortable insoles.
Not as bright a blue as I thought - more navy. Also runs very wide and did not fit. Seemed like the sole was good and would be easy to put on.
We love these shoes! Bought them for my 6 year old and they are sturdy enough to keep up with her need to run and climb everywhere, but still look cute with nicer outfits or summer dresses. I thought they ran a little bigger than I expected, but the strap keeps her foot in place just fine, with a little room to grow.
This is a very stylish and modern looking shoe. It is well-made and holding up well to the daily activities of an active 8 year old girl! The one complaint I have is that the strap, when pulled tight, on my daughter's feet curls up and touches the ground.

I absolutely love these wonderful shoes that are worth every penny. My daughter wears a 4½ in Nike, a 4 in these fits perfectly. The strap makes the width somewhat adjustable. Great! She loves them.
My daughter with a wide foot and high instep found these very comfortable and stylish and she loves them. We bought them for outfits that are dressier than what would look good with a sporty sneaker. Love!
My daughter has a high instep and these shoes hit her in exactly the wrong spot. They look narrow out of the box but they're not, they were fine on my daughter's wide foot. I wish they would have fit, we kept the Umi loafer instead.
I loved these but the sole was destroyed on each of my two sons' pairs three months later. I thought these would be great for my kids since they have a sneaker-like bottom and a cool, easy to pull-on leather boot. Like superhero boots for a modern kid! But my sons, neither of whom is unusually active, both wore the soles down to the mesh underneath within just a couple of months even though they didn't wear them every day. New York City sidewalks are tough, but I was surprised that a pair of boots wasn't up to the challenge.
