I love this because I get really thirsty when I'm out walking. It's a lightweight easy way to have water with me when I'm not carrying anything else. And there's even a little compartment that can hold a small cell phone

Great bottle. Works as advertised. No leaks. Not insulated like some of the camel back bottles. However these are a more space sensitive bottle. The 21oz camel back I have seems huge compared to this 20 oz. It's taller and seems wider yet they hold the same amount of liquid!?! It's like magic or something.

Phone fits in the front and so so the gels. The soft bottles have a hard top area that is painful as it digs into the chest. The vest still bounces and in order to keep the bottles from bouncing up and down you need to make it too tight to breathe. Unfortunately it is not useful for me.

No way to make your phone accessible. In order to keep the bottles from bouncing up and down you need to make it too tight to breathe. Unfortunately it is not useful for me.

Solid bottle. Fit perfectly on other carriers I had such as the Ultraspire hand carriers. Takes a bit of getting used to the kick valve. One thing that seems like nobody has posted online... Though hard to see, it is already perforated. Just fill with water, pull valve (requires a bit of a yank) and squeeze to spray. Test it in the sink, it sprays suddenly. Not sure on the valve durability, but I'm sure the bottle will last years. Nice thing that UD sells replacement caps for these bottles. Great buy.

I purchased this jacket for my daughter to wear during track practice - they practice for two hours outdoors, whatever the weather. She has a petite, athletic build. She did not get to check the water resistance because the fit was not right. The sleeves were too long and the elastic at the cuffs was loose and did not fit at the wrists. I liked the idea of FlipMitts.

Size M/L is way too small for a 42 chest. The bottles end up being to side and in the way of your arm swing.

I bought this for my first half marathon and my first trial run with it, I was not too sure about whether I liked it or not but I have to say, it was fantastic on my big run! It was very comfortable and for whatever reason, the slipping problem I had on the trail run was non-existent during the race. The zippered pocket on the front fit 4-Hammer gel packets perfectly. The water bottle caps are a little tight and it took both hands to get the bottles back into the pockets but it did not bother me. It also washed up really nicely. I am very pleased with this in the end.

Lightweight, holds it all from phone to keys to Gu's and anything in between. Doesn't move around, so no chafing during your run, hike, or even a day at the amusement park!

This is a must have pack. It's got every option you can think of if you are hitting the trail for an hour to an entire day even over night. My first use was a 26 mile trail run in the Smoky Mountains. I carried a 1.5 liter bladder, both bottles full in the front, iPhone 5, NF rain jacket, micro filter and collapsable bottle, 6 energy bars, and 8 gels. I still had plenty of room for more gear, including a headlamp or even an ENO. There is room for trekking pools, and even heavier jackets that can attach with the elastic draw strings. Fitting does take a little bit of time, but once you dial it in, the pack feels very balanced, snug like a full vest, and surprisingly comfortable and light. Once you start drinking from the front bottles, the slushing sound can bother some runners. I probably should have played around with the pack a little more to figure out placement of gear on the exterior. I couldn't figure out where to secure the bladder hose nozzle. There is a hole for the hose, and a secure sew in to get it to the front, but finding a place to lock it in was missing. I decided to secure the sip nozzle through the bottle cap loop. That worked out just fine. There are so many options you have to just continue to play around to find your best fit and placement of gear. One big negative that may be an issue, reaching for the side pockets was impossible for me with the pack on. The side pockets are just too far back to reach, causing me to remove the pack whenever I needed to grab some food or get my phone to take a picture. If you are really flexible, maybe you can reach it. In the videos on their site it looks doable, but just not for me. Got a ton of compliments on the pack from hikers who really liked the front load bottle carriers.

The belt is way too long. It looks sturdy (but not too heavy) and good for running/hiking, but too thick to keep under your clothes for traveling.

Fabric is nice. Bottle is durable. Can be difficult to squeeze out water when the bottle is nearing empty. The bottle caves in which is a negative as well.

The pack itself is fine, but the water bottle is awful. Getting the top to "pop" out is not nearly as easy as the video says, so the whole time I couldn't figure out if I was pulling too hard and I might break it. Eventually I figured out how much force I needed to put on it to get it out, but the opening itself is really hard to get a good flow from. There's no gasket between the plastic bottle and the plastic top, which meant there was water sloshing out of the bottle during my runs. I eventually gave up trying to fix the bottle. The design of the pack is nice, it's easy to get the bottle in and out, otherwise, without a different bottle, it's pretty much useless.

I love my Fastpack 20! I've used it on extended unsupported runs (160 miles of the John Muir Trail) as well as on multi-day peak bagging expeditions, and on several rock climbs and technical mountain ascents where I needed to carry a helmet, crampons, rope, harness, etc. The Fastpack easily swallows all the gear I need, yet still carries comfortably enough to run.

I have used the UD SJ vest for races ranging from marathon to 100 mile, and train with it on a consistent basis. It is extremely lightweight, however, heavy duty at the same time. I have never chafed with it; it hugs right up to your body, and is very adjustable in size. I have used it for a self-supported 12 hour run, and was able to pack a water filter, jacket, 3000 calories of food, phone, and salt tabs with plenty of room to spare. Still, the vest never bounced of chafed. I would highly recommend it to anybody; I think it will be a great addition to your adventure stories and racing success.

A note if you want to carry a smart phone in this: yes, the fabric breathes, but it also puts a thick layer of moisture on the phone's screen if you sweat at all (in Florida, that is most of the time). It also is much more violent green than it looks in the photo...lightweight and it works, but not a great pack for me.

I have run with other systems like this as well as handhelds. This is the most techincal looking, feeling and useful system for an hour to hour half run. The bottle slips in and out well but never "pops" out. I also have enjoyed the bottle that it comes with, the mouth piece is very comfortable and doesn't splash on me. LOVE IT!

This belt is good. It's pockets are big enough for an iPhone 5 and a small card wallet. It is low-profile and doesn't flap when running. My only complaint is that the belt tends to ride up over time. I end up folding the elastic band from my shorts over the top of the belt to keep it in place. I think if there was a little more elastic to the belt webbing, it would stay put.

I ran my first marathon with this pack. It carried my smartphone and MP3 player in the side pocket and a cliff bar and my keys in the back pocket. I removed the water bottles for the race since there was water available along the route. The whole system is modular in that you can add additional side bottles or pockets for added convenience. I did not notice the belt during the marathon. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.

Perfect for running. Holds my phone, and enough room for power bar and keys. Not too bulky. Perfect amount of water. Very comfortable and stays in place.

I've used Ultimate Directions bottles for over 5 years, and they are my all-time favorites - light, easy to use and no taste of any kind. I ordered two or these and two of the smaller ones from Zappos. The lids on the 26 oz bottles were cracked when I got them, but I called and got replacements right away! I mean the next day! I did, however, ask for the smaller ones, since the lids are the same. Thanks, Zappos!
