I have worn these boots for a day, and I still do not know what to think of them. I mean, they are some of the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn. Way more comfortable than Docs, and just below some 511 tactical army boots I had in the Army, which are designed to be comfortable carrying 100 pounds of equipment in bad terrain. They also look darn good. Basically, they look exactly like the picture; same color and all. It is hard to find shoes in my size, 13 US, that do not look like clown shoes, and these are some of the best looking boots/shoes that I have had. The only wool inside is right at the back heel to eliminate heel friction and keep it tight without skin or sock issues. The sole at the heel has some kind of memory foam (not too much, not too little). So, why am I still iffy about these? 1. They are not worth this price in any measure other than price or style. They just are not. I did not pay so much for those aforementioned 511 tactical boots (came with two pairs of highspeed socks and a tactical folding boot knife), and have paid less for shoes with far better materials and build quality. The strap is really thin, and I am half afraid that I will yank it out if I pull too hard. Compare that to a pair of Docs that I had for six years of neglected abuse without much wear, at a much lower price. My wife still has a pair of Docs that she bought over 20 years ago that she can wear, no problem. That is not happening with the Uggs. Part of the issue is that the leather is really thin, and it is sheepskin; which is really light compared to cow hide. It wouldn't take much to rip a hole in them, and a drop of water becomes an instant black spot (goes away when it dries). So the first thing I did was water-proof them. The sole is completely a soft rubber. It is the kind of rubber that I feel like I could pierce or tear with a fingernail if I tried hard enough. I do not see how it is possible for the rubber not to wear away within a year. Compare that to some of the Skechers that I have had for years, that have been through some serious wear and tear, and are still good-to-go and less than half the price. The soft rubber probably adds to the insane comfort though. Skechers fashion shoes are not this comfortable or light. They feel like a pair of boots made to be sold in Walmart (no joke). The tag is not even sown in, but is like a paper thin thing hanging off the tongue you have to tuck in when you strap it closed. For a bit more, you can get a pair of hand-made, heavy construction boots. So, basically I am wary that not spending the extra now will end up costing me more later when I have to buy another pair of this color, brown boots/shoes. That said, it would really be hard to find a pair of boots that look and feel this good, and time is money. So, I am going to try them out for a few months and if they hold up, then I will be happily proven wrong (I was wrong when I thought Sketchers were cheap quality, fall apart quick shoes when they came out), and I will update this review if I remember to. If they do not hold up, I am taking them back and spending the difference to upgrade.

I've only had these boots a couple of months so there's always the distinct possibility that I have no idea what I'm talking about. Just in case I do though, feel free to read on. So far they've been great. They're the most comfortable and attractive pair of boots I've ever owned. They're definitely not work boots, which should be obvious, but there are people who think any pair of boots should be able to withstand a trek through a war zone intact. So I felt the need to point that out. They're pretty high-quality, the only flaw I noticed is that the holes in the straps for the buckles aren't symmetrical so I have to use different holes for each boot. A small complaint, but for some reason it bugs me. As long as you understand that these aren't the boots you should wear in your potentially most-embarrassing, rugged fantasies of yourself, you should regret nothing if you buy them.

Best looking chukka out there. Always looking for a buckle boot with a buckle that's actually functional and this one is. Also the tongue is full cut so no squeezing your foot down into a pre-fit attached tongue. Leather quality great. I have the sperry low-cut slips on like this as well as the Clark Desert boot and these are more comfortable and better looking than both. good with jeans and any casual pants. I have the grizzly leather and I'm going to get the black to match blue/grey outfits. I wish I'd seen the chestnut because they look good to. Pictures of this boot are trustworthy. Very satisfied.

Unbelievably comfortable! These came yesterday in the mail, and I've received at least 5 compliments over the past 24 hours. Nice, soft leather. Very well made shoes - well worth the price.

These boots are really nice. First, the leather has a bit of a distressed look to it out of the box. The distressed look is a bit subtle, nothing too extreme. But as you wear the boots, the look of them actually improves. Also, the leather is very soft and already broken-in (unlike some other boots) so the boots are comfortable on your feet the first time you put them on. The monk strap with buckle is also sharp. Inside, the boots are what you would expect. They are not lined with lambswool throughout the entire shoe like some of the other Ugg men's boots. They do however have a small area of lambswool on the inside back of the heel which cuts down on friction and irritation. I have worn these walking around New York for 6-8 hours and my feet have been very comfortable with no blisters. I do note that like most other boots the length runs a bit long - perhaps a half size. However, I think this is true for most all boots in this style, regardless of brand. Not a deal-breaker for me, just something to note. Lastly, I saw one of the other reviews regarding durability and I believe those concerns may be misguided. The boots have held up very well for me since I purchased them.
