I have three other pairs of Uggs and all in size eight. They were a bit snug at first as expected, then broke in to fit perfectly. I found these to border on uncomfortable tight, at least tighter than what I am accustomed to. I have ordered the size nine to try them out. These seem to run very small in my view.

I've had two pairs of these boots over the past couple months and really enjoy them. The Good: Very comfortable and extremely warm (I would not really recommend wearing these when it's above 50F). They have a very good Vibram sole and removable/replaceable insole to help get rid of the inevitable Ugg funk. They look great with a pair of straight cut or boot cut jeans (I typically wear Levi 501 or 505 STFs). The Bad: Inconsistent leather quality. The first pair I received had, what seemed to be, much tougher leather which did not crease or scuff that easily. The second pair I received looked more worn-in after two wears than the first did after three weeks of wear. It's not a huge deal, because the leather still seems very durable. Also, I contacted Ugg, and the representative said that the outsole is not replaceable with another, identical Vibram sole (by either Ugg or a third party cobbler/shoe-repairman). This seemed strange to me, as it's not something you typically see in a pair of boots this price with what seems to be a legit stitched welt, so I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. The Ugly: The first pair I received smelled really bad. Out of the box they had a slight, but noticeable smell of ammonia/cat urine. The smell did not go away with wear, but actually intensified. I tried using odor killing insoles, the Ugg brand boot cleaner and freshener, Zero Odor spray, cedar shoe trees, and good old-fashioned sunlight/fresh-air/wear...nothing helped. Eventually it got so bad that I could not wear them, or keep them in the house anymore. The new ones smell like normal shoes. Conclusion: I would definitely recommend that people buy these boots if they're looking forward to a cold winter. They look good, feel comfortable, and if the soles can be replaced after a couple years, should last a long time. And of course, I cannot recommend Zappos enough. I only wish more companies were as nice and easy to work with!

Brands I'd also recommend: If it's not as cold where you live but are willing to spend the extra and need traction, a pair of Alden Indy 404 boots are right up your alley. I wear mine with Thoro hiking socks and they're good down to the mid 30s.

His is my second pair of Uggs from Zappos and I bought these as a work boot because I spend a lot of time outside and winters are cold in Pennsylvania. These did not disappoint. The waterproof uppers are like iron and the comfort and warmth are second to none. The fit was perfect as I wear these without socks. Zappos is the only place I will buy shoes. If they don't fit, send 'em back, no charge. Thanks again Zappos.

Wow, These boots rule they are tuff boots but yet they can be worn with no socks like you can wear Ugg boots. I get compliments on them they look like work boots but they're not. They roll like dress boots super compfee. please don't get them because I'm setting a trend up here in the mountain town of Mammoth Lakes.

My wife has four pair of UGGs and loves them all. I wanted to see what the big deal was. These boots are awesome. Fit so nice. Feet don't sweat. Waterproof. Wow. My wife was so right. Will get another pair. Don't know what style, but I will get another pair. These look great and feel even better.

These are comfy, warm, and reasonably stylish; these boots have sold me on the Ugg brand. House slippers and some kind of shoe are definitely next.

Beautiful boots, unfortunately I couldn't get my foot in my normal size. Tried it again one size larger and managed to get one foot in with much struggle (huffing and puffing). It seems one has to order 2 sizes larger than normal.

My wife and daughter both have a couple of pairs of Uggs. I never knew what the big deal was until they got me a pair for Christmas. At first I loved the way they looked but I thought that I would not like the sheepskin inside. I was afraid they would make my feet sweat. I only wore them inside the house the first day because I thought I probably return them. Boy was I wrong. These are the best looking, most comfortable boots that I have ever put on my feet. I am now hooked I will never say anything to my wife again when she comes home with a pair of Uggs.

This is my second pair of Uggs. I bought these for work because I work outside a lot in winter and just couldn't find anything that was comfortable. These boots rock. I was outside today standing on cement when the temperature was about 13 degrees and my feet were nice and warm. There is ample support and they are rugged and waterproof to boot. Zappos is the only place I buy shoes anymore. I highly recommend these to anyone who works outside in the cold rain and snow. They are worth every penny!

Wonderful comfortable and stylish boot by Ugg. My first order, the product was damaged, and customer service was excellent, they sent me a replacement within two shipping days. Downside, Holiday shipping was not too great, I would recommend that Zappos use FedEx instead of UPS, as they don't deliver on the weekends usually. Needless to say, my original order was received late, but that was Xmas eve. The customer service was awesome though, and the fact that I received damaged Uggs in my first package, and it was replaced. Very happy with my Stoneman Uggs!
