Yes, these boots are expensive, but they are worth their weight in gold to a parent of a child with sensitive feet: not too hot or too cold, no straps to adjust and re-adjust or over-tighten, no need for socks that could fall down or bunch up...just pull them on and go, without tears. They are best for daily comings and goings, not heavy-duty play or snow. Applying NikWax to the surface helps keep them clean.

So sad...I was looking for a Ugg like boot with replaceable arch support when I learned about these. But the removable foot bed proved to noticeable...and not in a good way. On the edges in the footbed area. I am a 6 in shoes. So a 5 womens/ 4 kids in Ugg land. The kid version seemed thinner and not same height. I happened to have an Ugg replacement insole. That helped...but golly seems silly to put a replacement in a new pricey shoe. Admittedly the replacement version is probably going to be the one that you can get when you are ready to add a fresh insole down the road.

I have yet to take these off since purchasing! I was very skeptical about the sizing and wasn't sure if I was a 5 or 6 in youth. (For reference, I am flat foot and normally a 7.5 in shoes and heels, and a size 8 in flats. In European size I wear a 37.5 and a 38.5 in flats.) Zappos didn't have the 5 in stock at the time of my order so I ordered the 6 and am very glad I did. I found the size 6 to be snug in the middle area and have a little bit of heel slip when worn without socks. However, when I wore very thin socks, the problem went away. I also found the problem was less apparent when I tucked my sweats/jeans/pants into the boot, which is how I intend to wear the boot. I had about 1/2 inch space from the front of the boot and no toes touching. Because I still I wasn't convinced I was a size 5 or 6, I also visited Ugg store locations to see their opinions. Many of the stores were sold out in the Ultimates for youth (another reason I love Zappos! for their stock availability above most locations), so instead I tried the youth classics in a 5. Although the 5 fit snugly and comfortably they all had mentioned that because of the rubber sole and enforced toe of the ultimate, that they will not stretch or pack in as much as the classics. They recommended I stick with the 6 in youth in the Ultimates, but a 5 youth if I prefer the classics. Because of this, I don't think the Ultimates in youth may fit those who are anything larger than a size 8 womens, unless you have very narrow feet. As far as the difference between women and youth short Uggs, both appeared to be the same materials and quality except the youth is about an inch shorter in the shaft which is not noticeable and maybe even better for people will shorter legs, like myself. The women's Ultimate is also retailing for more than the Zappos price! Hopefully this helps someone who is debating ordering the youth size for women. This was my first purchase on Zappos and I couldn't be more pleased with the overnight shipping! If you want to purchase Uggs, Zappos is definitely the way to go! Also, don't forget to add in the water & stain repellent in your order and spray before wear. You can probably pass on the cleaner.

Zappos and Uggs go together, delivering quality in a timely and efficient manner. Uggs sets the standard for quality. Everyone in the family (10) has at least one pair of Uggs. Zappos, too, sets the standard for quality customer service. As a long time customer, I've never been disappointed. Keep up the good work.

The boots are a pretty penny but they hold up much better than many of the other Uggs especially if your little one is tough on shoes. Great for wide feet and withstand lots of play and still look nice. I love the bottom they are very durable.

I ordered these boots for my grandson three years ago and he wore them winter and summer, loved them. He totally wore holes in them, so he is asking for a new pair for Christmas. They must be great to want a second pair. Kids are honest when it comes to their clothes and shoes, so I would definitely recommend these boots.
