Great shoe, but only lasted 4 months. 5 stars for comfort and performance. 1 star for durability. This shoe fit well, had great support and looked great when new. It actually noticeably improved our 3 year old's ability to climb the monkey bars and do lots of other physical activity compared to his previous leather-bottom shoes. So aside from the fact that these shoes are falling apart after 4 months, they are great. After 4 months, there is a hole worn all the way through the front toe area. One of the elastic cords is unraveling where it rubs against the strap. Sand has collected in between the internal layers of the shoe near the side of the toe and is impossible to remove, causing a big bump inside the shoe and they look terrible now. I would gladly pay more for this shoe if the quality was better.

This is a great shoe! My daughter has a narrow foot and this shoe can be adjusted by tightening the velcro. It seems well made and she says it\'s very comfortable.

My daughter loves these shoes. We have the red Wendi's, and she happily wears them all day long (which is a first for any shoe). The red is so perfect and shiny; very simple, but flashy at the same time. She is very comfortable in them.

These shoes are spendy and at the top of my price limit for kids shoes. However, I love they they are made from a last that is designed for children\'s feet and not just scaled down versions of adult shoes. That said, the quality is good, but they seem light and a bit floppy. Also, the straps only cross the foot once, so it is almost impossible for my 3 year old to tighten them himself, which defeats the purpose of having hook and loop shoes.

Usually I buy European shoes, but this year I couldn't find the right size so decided to go with these. Well, I'm very disappointed. The shoe is okay looking, has good arch support, but my daughter doesn't like to walk in them. Normally, she loves to run around and can walk for miles no problem, but with these shoes she prefers sitting in the stroller. Also, when you're trying to decide what size to get, use the US size, the European sizing is confusing!

These shoes are perfect for narrow feet. The double straps help make a great fit. They are as cute as the pictures and very functional, a good shoe for both the playground and dressier events. The only negative comment I have is with Zappos sizing. Zappos gave different US size equivalents at different times; when I placed the order Zappos said I was ordering a size 7 equivalent, but subsequent emails on the product from Zappos said it was a 6 or 6.5 equivalent. I likely would have ordered a larger size. I hope my daughter doesn't outgrow them too quickly! I'm giving 4 stars because of the sizing troubles. Otherwise, I would give the product 5 stars.

These are adorable shoes that fit my daughter well. We\'ve had no issues with them not being tight enough or feeling loose on her feet despite the unusual (and very cute) draw string design. These ankle boots look adorable with leggings, dresses, and jeans.

These shoes are nice, sturdy, and flexible with good tread. My son has a narrow foot and these fit him well. We went up a size to accommodate a smart wool sock and the width still works. The shoes are great looking and he seems to be quite comfortable running, jumping, etc. A lot of the hiking style shoes we tried were not very flexible so we were happy to find these.

These shoes are so well made that I am sure my daughter will outgrow them before they wear out. The shoes are sturdy, yet flexible, and very stylish. These go from school to the playground and even church. Such a great versatile shoe. Very pleased with my purchase. Highly recommend.

I am so happy that I found the Wendi shoe from Twig. My daughter has two little flat feet thanks to her father! She also goes to Catholic school and so has to wear black mary jane type shoes with the uniform. I had been searching high and low for good quality mary janes with arch support. Well, it's practically impossible. But these shoes are everything. They are cute, black mary janes with really great arch support. And as a bonus for your little girl, there is a cute little decorative black on black flower on the toe of the shoe. You will be happy with these shoes. As I recall I chose the shoe in what I thought was her size and had to exchange for another size. Zappos made that easy.

Wow! Treat your kid to a pair of these shoes! They actually have support and are fully leather lined. The wide toe box is great for my son. My son, who normally prefers the more fashionable look of Ed Hardy, actually wanted to sleep in his shoes the night they came. I just wish I could borrow them!

Super cute! Five and a half year old daughter loves them. Her Kindergarten teacher asked if she could have them cause she thought they were too cute! Very comfortable leather, she wears without socks and has no blisters or sore spots. We will buy from Twig again!

I just bought a second pair for my 7-year-old daughter after the first pair finally wore out. She loves these shoes. They have a little bit of a dressy look but are also great for running and recess. They work with or without socks or tights.

Very sturdy and well made boot with stylish details that my daughter loved. Coordinates well with jeans and skirts. This will for sure be our "go to boot" throughout the winter. Highly recommend this boot.

Comfy and Cute. My daughter really enjoyed these shoes. The leather is slipper-soft, and she (age 2-3) can easily put them on and take them off by herself. I like that they cover her toes and look really cute with a wide range of clothes. The only downside is the they are not super-sturdy. We got the whole summer out of them and, granted, we did let her play in them - we did not use them as "dress up" shoes, but they are now falling apart, there will be no passing them down to younger children!

Funky Fun Shoe - My daughter, 8, and I both agreed that this shoe was funky, cool and still neat enough to dress-up. A great balance. Great out-soles and cool look. Note: Runs a full size larger than marked.

This shoe is a very well made shoe, except the elastic bands that go around the ankle are very small. My 7 year old has a tiny leg/ankle, and they fit too tight around her ankle. We did try it on with socks because it was going to be worn in the winter. Well made shoe, except for the bands.

I bought these four my two year old for the summer because they are like wearing a closed toe sandal...they protect her little feet and are nice and cool like a sandal. They are true to size and look great with white jeans or even capris. I only wish the the sole was not white as it looks dirty fast.

Good shoe. My 3 year old is very rough on shoes and normally rubs the front of her shoes off in a few wears. I think the way this shoe is designed prevents the front leather part of the shoe from ever scraping the ground and prevents the back of the shoe from rubbing her Achilles. We've had the experience where the top, back portion of the shoe is too hard and comes inward causing blisters on the back of her feet. I had a very hard time finding toddler shoes with adequate arch support, but find that the European brands were the only ones to address that need. They are generally more expensive but my daughter is too young to learn that sometimes "beauty=pain". When she's older and can buy her own shoes she'll be free to buy shoes that look good and kill her feet, but while I'm in charge I'll just spend the money on a quality pair. I also appreciate that there are straps to keep them secure on her feet and the shoes are nice and flexible overall. They're great with dresses as well as more casual outfits and she can play in them without hurting herself or the shoe.

I loved the look of these shoes for my 2.5 year old. I liked the soft soles especially. I bought them in April and planned to get a long spring-summer-early fall season out of them. By the end of May, the outer heels were wearing badly on the soles. I repaired them, but that seems unnecessary for a shoe at this price point. I'd recommend them as a nice shoe for lighter wear, but I wanted an all-round fair weather shoe for play, and I was disappointed by how fast the sole wore out.

These shoes do not have "Bungee lacing" as it claims in the specifications. We bought these for our 3 yr old hoping we could tie them once and then he could slip them on and off. We were disappointed to find that there is no bungee material at all, no stretch. Nice shoes though-good quality and nice support- not too much and not too little. If they were velcro, would have worked for us.

I ordered this shoe in orange and tan for my 5 year old son. I had the impression that it was a slip-on, similar to those made by Keen, but much more hip looking. It is indeed a very stylish, well-made, and great fitting shoe. However, customers need to know, because the photo and the description do not inform, that this is actually a lace-and-tie-with-a-bow shoe. Furthermore, the laces are not stretchy. They are stiff and slippery and hard for even an adult to tie. I can't deal. I'm all about getting ready and out the door with as little fuss as possible, so, despite its great looks, I'm returning this shoe. If you or your kid is highly gifted in the fine motor skills department this is the shoe for you.

About Twig Kids

Every Twig is as individualistic as the child who wears them. Twig believes that the product should be multi-functional; equally at home being dressed up or dressed down. Twig kid’s shoes are designed to meet the functional needs of a child along with a strong dash of emotional appeal for a parent.

All Twig kid’s shoe styles are inspired by clean lines, nature, and uniqueness. Twig children’s products stand apart as opposed to blending in. Twig creates shoes and sandals for boys and girls that are fun and unique.

Twig is geared around the idea that children are as individual as a twig. After all, a twig is the offspring of a much larger branch, and with proper nurturing, the twig becomes that of its parent.
