I received the Tumi T-Tech Forge Bessemer Large Brief Pack in the Terrain color today and I am so excited! I am a non-traditional college student, I took this semester off, and I gave my daughter, who started middle school, my old North Face Optimus backpack, because she has to carry so many books, and it was just a nicer backpack for her. I am going back to school next month and needed a new backpack. It is almost embarrassing to admit how picky I am. But I have looked at all the backpacks on Zappos, and several other sites and I just did not find exactly what I wanted until I found this... and on sale, too! The quality of this backpack is incredible. I absolutely love the waxed canvas. I am a very tactile person, I love nice leather, nice fabric, and I really love the feel of the backpack. It even smells good! Most importantly, it suits my needs. Even though I loved it straight out of the box, I loaded it up with several books and put it on before I decided to keep it. Because it had to work as my college book backpack. It is fabulous and plenty large enough to fit as many books as you would need to carry for college. I cannot imagine someone carrying enough books regularly that would exceed the capacity of this bag and I am a future medical student working on my bachelor's right now. To clarify when I say plenty large enough this bag is a very good size bag. I put four of my husband's engineering books in the bag. Not all of them were textbook size, but average textbook thickness, one on top of the other, along with my MacBook and it was not tight and there was still a lot of room left to put other things. So do not be worried if you want this for school that it will not be big enough. Of course, Zappos' customer service is out of this world. I chatted with customer service after I already paid for the bag when I was worried that it would not be big enough, she looked up the dimensions and assured me this was quite a substantial bag and she was right! This bag is so great for me because I am a college student but I am non-traditional. I think it really suits me . Thanks so much, Zppos!
I'd also recommend: As far as backpacks go, I haven't found any others myself that are quite in Tumi's class.
