Business bags are changing because laptops are changing. If you don't have a laptop that looks like a MacBook Air, you very likely will before long. And once your laptop is .8" thick and holds all of your documents, a 5" thick bag starts to feel like luggage, not a briefcase. For women, this bag is a slam dunk. For guys, you may need to deal with residual feelings about carrying a murse, but this one hangs east-west and it's a Tumi, so you won't get whistled at a lot. For men or women who own the 13" MBA, this is your bag if: -- You don't need or want to carry much. A few files, the MacBook, the cable, a few adapters. Toss in a notebook, some pens, the occasional magazine. An iPad if you have to. If you carry more than this, get a bigger bag. -- You hate bulk. This bag is slim. It is sleeker than the Kenneth Cole or InCase that Apple sells and much better than the 13" Waterfield Muzettos -- although all of those bags are worth a look. -- You want to carry cross-body (messenger bag style) or have the bag hang behind you. I like this and this bag hangs that way, but if you want a straight at your side shoulder bag, keep looking. The design is great. Like Waterfield and others, Tumi through a zipper on top, so you don't fight the flap to get to the main compartment. The flap is held by magnets, but if you overfill the bag, it just flaps around, so don't. Construction and materials are obviously first rate -- it's Tumi. And like early Fords, you can any color you want, so long as it's black. Personally, I think that the Tumi nappa leather thing has become sort of Wall St. boring, but this is a gorgeous bag and it is hard to imagine a setting where it would not look great. By the way, the poly version of this bag is half price of the leather one, at least at the moment, when Zappos is discounting them. They will last even longer than the leather. A bit less schwing for a lot less schwag.

If you own a 13" MacBook Air, seriously consider this bag. The MBA fits precisely and is nicely protected. I can fit a Kindle, a Moleskine notebook, and a file with up to 30-40 pages in the top main pocket without having it bulge. Under the flap, plenty of pockets for power cords, adapters, pens, and the usual flotsam. Outside rear pocket holds business cards, a magazine, boarding pass, etc. Gorgeous leather. Nice strap. No regrets at all.

I loved this bag -- the leather is beautiful and soft and the strap is nice and long. Alas, I had to return it. I really needed it to carry my new 13" laptop. It fits, but I wouldn't be able to carry a single other thing in it, and I think it would get beat up. But it's a lovely bag.
