My daughter has a high instep (top of foot) and when I closed the top strap comfortably there was over an inch of the rough velcro left exposed. I hate that because it looks bad, collects lint and snags delicates (her Tsukihoshi Speed shoes do not leave the exposed velcro). The width seems good and typical and the inside is lined with satin so I am hoping (if I keep them) that she can wear without socks because the sock battle is so tiresome. These can be athletic shoes as well as cutey shoes with dresses. We love them, just bummed that the strap across is not longer. Also, her foot measures at a 12 and the 11.5 fit length perfectly. Wondering if I should have gotten her real size and left room for growth. We bought the Red and pink version 3/2013.

Very cute shoe and my 6 year old loves wearing them. The sizing was really hard to figure out, and despite the info to order a half size smaller, we ended up having to order a full size smaller (and we could still probably go down another half size!). This particular Tsukihoshi style runs bigger than others, which also run large in general.

I always purchased Tsukihoshi shoes for my daughter. The last 2 pairs I purchased ran long and wide. I am returning yet another pair.
