Tsukihoshi rocks and so does Zappos! You can't do better than this make of shoe, especially for small, fat feet! They're hands down the easiest to get on, beautifully made and any style is a dependably perfect fit--state of the art support and cushioning--no crowding or pressure on the growing foot! As they suggest, going a half-size smaller is always just right. (But magically, they seem to fit endlessly. You buy new ones not because you've been squeezed out, but because you want to squeeze more shoes in!)

Just fabulous, once again. This is the third pair of Tsukihoshi shoes I have purchased for my son from Zappos. He has been wearing this brand essentially since he started walking. There is no comparison to this brand in terms of fit, comfort, durability and style. My son picks out his shoes everyday and he always picks the Tsukihoshi pair!

This is our third pair of Tsukihoshi sneakers and we plan to buy more in the years to come (we have blue, brown and light blue). They have lasted longer than any other shoe I have purchased for my 4 year old. They are very lightweight, and he can put them on by himself. We wash them when they are dirty. We get many compliments on his shoes because they look cool. I have stopped buying other brands (except crocs and reef). My son will not wear other shoes as most are heavy weight and lack flexibility. I feel so positive about this product I want others to know about it. This is my first product review ever. I hope it is helpful!

While these shoes are absolutely adorable and they fit my son great, they have not worn well. After about 5 or 6 wearings the faux suede at the toe and the rubber on the toe have completely worn off and they now look like a really old pair of shoes. We love this brand and we love this shoe but if you have an active child, and who doesn't, you might be better of with a different style. Happy shopping!

This is our 4th pair of Tsukihoshi sneakers that we've bought for our three year old. When he outgrows one pair, we get another in a different color. It's a great looking shoe that has all of the qualities that we're looking for - it's lightweight, allows for easy on and off for little people, has a flexible sole, holds up nicely in the wash, and accommodates Fred Flintstone feet. They're a little spendy, but worth the money.

These shoes are super lightweight and comfortable. They are well made and I love that the sole pops out easily and they wash well. The outer side of each of the tongues is attached which is what was always holding my son up, but not any more! I will buy this shoe again next time for sure.

These are the third pair we have bought for our 4.5 year old he has wide feet and finds these shoes very comfortable. He puts them on by himself and was able to do so at 2 as well with his first pair. They do hold up well and his last pair are a year old and although scruffy they are without rips etc. The only thing with this style is that the top of the back of the shoe is a little high and can rub on the leg a little. I think after a little breaking in they will be fine. So far Ethan has not had any blisters there.highly recommed them

We actually won this pair of shoes. I had tried the Euro and I do like the Euro better, but these are really cute. They are flexible and fun. However, when ordering Tsukihoshi I will probably stick with the Euro in the future because they are so easy to get on and off and my son finds them really comfy.

Best shoes ever. We did Stride Rite for his first two pairs of shoes. These shoes are just a step ahead. I know some complaints are that they don't withstand active play. My son is all over the place. Climbing rock walls, rolling down grassy hills, in the mud. These shoes take a beating and I think they are handling it as well as a shoe could! Yes the suede has worn off the toe and they are scuffed and scratched. THEY ARE SHOES on a TODDLER. What do you expect? I still get people telling me they are great looking shoes and he has been wearing them all winter. It will be a sad day when they don't fit!

Pros: Flex sole is a plus for newer walkers. Great fit for little ones with wide feet. Easy on and off. Sneakers wash well in the laundry. Long lasting . Very lightweight. Cons: Can't be worn in cold months or wet weather. Part of the upper is padded mesh - great for sweaty feet, but not so much for the cold or rain. These run large though - order down.

I tried out this brand for the first time because my little guy has such big wide feet, and while the shoe is awesome to look at, I'm not impressed with durability. The sole started to separate from the shoe almost immediately. After continued wearing of several months the sole did not completely come off, so I suppose that's a plus. However, the material of the shoe has not worn well. It's not ripped it’s just the shoe wears easily and shows it. I did not think that the shoe was really a half size bigger. Lengthwise it was the same length as other shoes my son has that are the same size. The difference is that the material of the shoe comes up higher, but the sole itself is not wider. For summer I decided to forgo the Tsukihoshi sandals since my son puts sandals through a lot! I don't think they are quite durable enough. Also, I find that my son has a wide foot and that the wide sole of Keen sandals fit his foot better. The sole of the Keens are definitely wider than Tsukihoshi’s. The Keen Zerraports (which sadly are discontinued, but I snagged a couple of pairs just in time) have a wonderful fit for a child who needs a wide toe box. The "height" is adjustable though I found that for my big footed boy I needed to rip out the seam and extend it just a little bit. For this reason I don't know if other Keen styles would work as well for the "height," even though they are awesome for width.

This shoe is really cute. My 3 year old son loves it and he can velcro it himself with a little help to make sure it is tight enough. It isn't as durable for outdoor play as some of the other Tsukihoshi styles that we've had. You can't tell from the picture but the toe area is a soft, velvety fabric. I think it was scuffed after a couple of days of wearing them.

These shoes are great, lightweight and comfy. My son has severe flat foot and needs to wear orthotics and these are the only brand that the shoes are still easy to get on and off with them in. I can't say enough good things about them. They're also the only shoes that my son will happily wear inside and he always picks these of all his shoes. We've tried all sorts, Primigi, Geox, Merrell, Ecco, Stride Rite and more. I'm in buying another pair now, as these are sadly being grown out of (although it took quite a long time for that to happen)!

I got this pair for my son, and I love them so much, the color the texture and all. There is only one problem - the sole comes off. The shoe is great and very well built. I guess the glue of the shoe is not very good, and once is off is a hazard because he was tripping and I was forced to cut the sole to avoid him from tripping. I need a pair for my son, and I will get these only if I know that the sole has been glued better.

My toddler/preschooler has a short, wide, high arch foot and it is very difficult to find shoes that fit and he likes. Tsukihoshi will slide on his feet and velcro enough so the shoe is secure and stays on. My son loves the blue Kids Retro. We have bought the style for a second time in a bigger size now. He would wear them every day if I let him. With that said, as others have reviewed, I think that they wear very quickly. After several months of wearing they are worn, cracked and look pretty beat up. But even so we will continue to be return customers.

My son loves these shoes and so do I, we even bought them in the red white and black, too. Very cute "old school" style and comfy for him. He has wide feet so I was pleased that the velcro fits great. Bonus that these shoes are machine washable.

These are great little shoes. I ordered 3 pair in different colors for my triplet grandchildren. They love the shoes and one says they help him run fast! They did run large and I had to return for a size smaller for all 3 of them. The service was quick and great. No hassles. Great shoes.

Great shoes! My son loves them. He has extra wide, large feet and these shoes fit! I have been told these run a half size big but I ordered the size he measured at. They are a little big but he isn't tripping over them, so we kept them.

Great shoes for my 20 month old son! I was afraid these shoes wouldn't go with many of his fall clothes, but they are such fun shoes I put them on him with everything. He gets nothing but compliments everywhere we go! He has a very wide foot and high instep and these work great! Totally worth the extra money. So far these shoes have been outside running around 4 hours/day for a month and through mud puddles. I have washed 2 times and they still look quite nice. I do have to say the sizing is a little tricky - went from wearing a Keen sandal this summer in US size 8 (13cm) to wearing a size 8 in this brand but it is 15.5cm long - over an inch bigger but still says same size as different brand. Size chart on website does not coordinate with the printed cm size on shoe (which you don't find out until they arrive at your house). Thank goodness for free shipping both ways!

My 22 month old son loves these shoes. He can put them on himself, and seems extremely comfortable in them. Although he wears them all the time, they aren't showing any wear after about a month of use (indoor, outdoor, playground). The best feature is that the tongue is stitched in place on one side, so it doesn't slide around his foot uncomfortably. Highly recommended. The blue color is bright, but my son seems to love that about them!
