These are perfect for the kid in braces. Our daughter wears AFOs and these fit over them perfect! The velcro fits completely around the brace. The other great benefit is that they are super light. Braces add enough weight without added weight from a shoe. Thanks Zappos for carrying yet another great product! And for those concerned about wear, my daughter wore these for a year before I bought a new pair. They even help with her dragging her toes!!!

Shoe Size: Felt true to sizeMy daughter wears an AFO and it's always a struggle to find a pair of shoes that will fit over her brace. This brand not only has the width needed for an AFO, but the velcro fastener allows the shoe to be opened wide for much easier on/off than most of the others out there. I don't think the soles wear as well as other brands, but if you're searching for an AFO-friendly shoe, this is a great option!

Wow, this shoe falls apart! I loved that these weren't white, that they had velcro closures, and that the reviews all spoke to their quality. I wanted to have found the perfect sneaker, but parts of the soles starting ripping off the first pair, perhaps even the entire sole on one shoe and just parts of the sole on the other shoe. I emailed Zappos who to their credit made a quick and easy exchange. But the replacement pair did the same thing about 1 month later! Is this how long sneakers last? My daughter saw another girl at camp with the same sneakers, and her mother told me the same thing. Too bad!

These shoes are fantastic. My independent two year old daughter can get these on and off in seconds, with zero frustration. They are stylish, seem comfortable, and we get tons of compliments on them. They are the only shoe she wants to wear, which says a lot. I am thrilled we purchased them.

My 3 year old daughter loves them and so do I. Already have washed them in machine and they look almost new again! Very easy on and off, lightweight, and stylish! Wishes would be for more color options in this model.

These shoes are awesome! They are cute and seem very comfortable. I like the elastic in the strap because it helps fit my daughter\'s chubby feet.

My daughter loves these shoes! I have never been able to buy any type of shoes for her, other than flip flops, that she was actually excited about. There is no more fussing in the mornings about getting shoes on for school. I highly recommend the Tsukihoshi for extremely hard to buy for kids. They are lighweight and comfortable for busy little feet!

This brand fits my daughter\'s feet the best of any brand we have tried. She has a slighly wider foot and these have always seemed super comfortable. Plus - they can just be thrown in the washing machine which is a nice bonus. This style is our favorite - we have had both the pink and purple - and is a very light shoe. The wider velcro band across the top helps to tighten the shoe - as they do tend to stretch easily and do run a bit large. Highly recommend the brand and especially this style!!

I love the shoe. My daughter has a high instep and she loves them, too. Great shoe for wide widths. My only complaint is that the top of the shoe wears down fast. If you have an active toddler who goes to daycare, you'll see the material in the front wears off. I thought it was suede and it's not. I would still get another pair.

Cute shoe, but the sizing is wide and long. My 4 year old wears a 12 in Skechers and we ordered an 11.5 in this Tsukihoshi as per the on-line instructions; however, there is still 3/4 of clearance inside the shoe. We kept this Euro anyway, since she'll grow into it in the next few months. It does show dirt, but it wipes off easily, so the shoe seems to stay looking nice. I actually like the Stamina better for a less bulky look.

Overall, this is an amazing shoe for toddlers. My two year old is able to put them on all by herself, without a struggle or it taking forever. (Why haven't other companies though of this type of closure?) The only drawback is that the pink color is rubbing off the toe area on both sides of the rubber at the very tip after only 3 weeks of wear. My daughter is extremely hard on shoes, so I am not sure that others would have the same experience, but for this price, I was expecting better durability.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these shoes! Had them for about a month, and they go with everything, so easy for my 4 year old to put on, and they are so lightweight and durable! After a month of regular use she is still getting regular compliments on these pretty pink sneakers, people asking if they are new for school! At first I was skeptical of the modern design not often found on other more well known brands of sneakers, but I was surprisingly pleased with how well these look being worn. You just can't go wrong with a pink sneaker for a little girl!

If your child is a tippy-toe walker, she will love these shoes. They are the only shoes that truly flex by the ball of the foot. Almost all toddler shoes have completely stiff soles that do not bend at all. My daughter would wear only these shoes for two years. Another bonus is that even a small toddler can put these shoes on by herself. I wish there were more color choices, however.

This is the second pair of this shoe I've bought for my now five year old daughter. She likes the colors and the ease with which she can put on/take them off. The purple is a lovely, deep hue -- just as the picture suggests. The shoe looks fine with shorts and pants, of course, but also with skirts. It's an ideal school shoe.I like the shoe because it's light. There was not any period of adjusting to a clunky shoe, as sneakers oftentimes are. The lightness also helps to prevent sweaty feet. Finally, the shoe provides decent ankle support, is incredibly easy to wash, and is durable. We have found that Tsukihoshi shoes ran a tad big, maybe by half a size.

I bought these shoes for my granddaughter who has a wide foot. They fit her great and are easy for her to put on herself. I would buy this brand again and will do so when she outgrows this pair.

Love them! I have gotten these shoes in the purple the past two years for my now 3yr old. She loves them and they go with everything. They are so comfortable for her and they are made for washing so if they get dirty it's no big deal. I would highly recommend these shoes. I'm sure I will get them next year too. Maybe in the pink next time.

My 2 yr old daughter has had these shoes since January and they are still going. They are a little worn on the bottom and I need to replace them. She wears them all day almost every day while at school playing. I have washed them about 10 times and yes, the rubbery sides do get a little "frayed" but who cares since they are so easy to wash and my daughter loves them! She will rarely take them off even after being in them all day long. P.S. I found that it helps washing them in a laundry bag.
