These pads seem solid and high quality, though they haven't been heavily used yet. I got them for my slim, tallish 5-year old, and they fit well. She would prefer them in red, though. The elbow pads may be useful as knee pads for my 3-year old! I'm rating overall and comfort as 5, but bear in mind that I don't really know how they'll hold up over use, which is crucial.

I bought size small. My hand measurement is 7.5 inches and the wrist guards fit perfectly. The knee pads and elbows fit well too. Adequate cushion, the straps are easy to put on and take off. I do worry that the velcro may tear from the material after a while though. Good value for the price. Thanks Zappos!

I grabbed this at the last minute before a snowboarding trip (thanks, next-day shipping!) thinking I'd land on my behind a lot. I did - and I'm convinced it saved my bum. But it was not perfect. While it has padding galore front and back - there is none on the side where your hip bone protrudes. I found this out the hard (very hard) way. Obviously, this has no style to speak of whatsoever; plus, I had to buy a larger snowpants in order to fit this. It still looks a weirder than a stylish person would wish for, but the protection was worth it.

I use these knee pads for roller derby. They are very supportive and have enough padding for the many falls we take. If you value your knees, these are the pads for you!

This helmet is very well constructed and the fact that my son actually likes to wear it when he goes skateboarding makes it perfect! He is 16 and he thinks it looks so cool! Another plus for me is that he wore it when we went on a ski trip for snowboarding!

Nice! Man, I wish I had these when I was first learning. Low profile enough to wear under pants, I got Oakleys which are more fitted pants and you still can't tell in wearing 'em. These really give you more confidence to hit the rails or pop of those jumps and stomp it away. Buy them, unless you want a bruised butt (unless you're into that sort of thing).

My son got this helmet for Christmas. The price was competitive, shipping super-fast, as always and the sizing chart was spot-on. He (11 years old)says it's very comfortable and thinks he looks cool wearing it.

This item was a gift to my daughter and she was delighted with it. She told me it covered everything she needed in a helmet.

I purchased the L/XL for my 8 year old son whose head measures 21 inches. The helmet fits perfect with the thicker velcro inserts that they provide. I got the bigger size since some people said it ran small which seems to be the case. The matte blue color is very nice and he loves it.

I'm in love with this helmet! It is excellent for roller derby and doesn't make your hair itch like some helmets can if you've been sweating in it for a bit. It has a cool rubberized texture on the outside and you can put stickers on it if you wish. It is super soft on the inside and is comfortable to wear for even a few hours. Unfortunately, this helmet was sent to me in the wrong color the first time but Zappos took care of that for me overnight and I had the correct helmet on my doorstep the next day! Also, Zappos credited my account because of the mistake so it was like buying a helmet and getting my wrist guards for free. This was the first time I have received the wrong item from Zappos but was not the first time Zappos customer service has given me a credit on my account. Once it was just because they did not have an item I wanted to buy in stock. Overall could not be happier with Zappos.

Love this! Perfect fit for my iphone 4. Keeps it from getting scratched up while floating around in my handbag, and it gets lots of compliments when I take it out.

This is an awesome product. The quality is great, zipper is smooth, fabric is soft... just like a real hoodie. If I was shaped like an iPad I would wear this myself. It keeps my iPad protected and gets tons of compliments. I am super happy with my purchase.

Great buy for recreational skater. I bought to keep up with my 6 year old and found them to be well made. Highly recommend.

Very wide palm plate and gives great support. I have big hands, and found MED was too small, but large are stretching out a bit. Elastic is starting to overlap the velcro area... I may have to sew the elastic smaller for a perfect custom fit. In any case, these wrist guards are very comfortable and supportive... I like them so far and 3 weeks into my derby class. (Wish they had the red plastic splints, but they're all black.)

I'm still not convinced this is the helmet for me, but that's more about me than the helmet. This is a good-looking, sturdy helmet. The price point is reasonable. But, it feels a bit heavy and the ventilation is not great.

Working great so far. Actually using this for wakeboarding although it is not a wake helmet. No huge crashes so far, but the fit is great. The sweatsaver thing soaks up the water like a sponge and takes a little bit to dry, but it isn't a water helmet so this is understandable. Only had it for a month or so and have only used it a handful of times, but love it so far. The fit is right on the money for my dome.

Love the look of this helmet. Extremely light. Built well. However, the cutouts for the ears are very low and it's uncomfortable on my ears. Sad to send it back.

This helmet is so awesome! It is comfortable and the liner is really soft not scratchy. And you can't go wrong buying from Zappos.

I am very satisfied with this top of the line head protection, and the sweatsaver liner makes it very comfortable to wear. Stylish too!

These pads are horrible. The knee pads have a very scratchy fabric on the inside. The elbow pads have this sleeve made of very cool material, but the straps are right on the edge of the pad so the sleeve does not protect you from the uncomfortable straps. My biggest complaint about the comfort is in the way the pads bend. The way the straps are placed and the way they are angled make for a very restrictive, pinching pad. It looks like the makers of the pads never even tried them on before selling them. The knee pad, for example, has a ridiculous calf-to-thigh opening ratio. It is as if they expect your calves (well, the top of your calf) to be bigger than your thighs. I could barely make the top butterfly strap close, and the bottom one was very loose. They are also angled weirdly. When your knee is extended, the straps angle in towards each other as you can see a bit in the pictures. That makes it very uncomfortable to bend your knee. The caps are well placed, but are too flat. The pad in general does not conform to your joints very well. All these things make for an unbelievably uncomfortable pad. I do not even quite understand how they managed to take flexible materials and make pads that could double as a straightjacket. I can bend the pads very easily in my hands, but once they are on and the straps are tightened they grab your knees and elbows like boa constrictors and slowly squeeze the life out of them. I could go on and on about these pads, but long story short: do not buy these pads. They are terrible. Also, your product videos are absolutely terrible. Not only are the salespeople incredibly annoying, but they do not even put the product on or give you any sort of information about them. Exhibit A: *knocks pads together between hands* "Oh look they are very protective, as you can see." That makes me want to tear my hair out. Anyway, save your money (and Zappos', because you will just end up taking advantage of their free return policy if you buy them).
