My initial impression of these boots was not very good, as the right heel tab pulled off the very first time I tried them on. I was tempted to return them, fearing they would start falling apart in other places, but they seemed nice in every other way, so I kept them. I'm glad I did. Aside from that one problem, they've proven to be reliable, comfortable, and most importantly for me, waterproof. I wear these for walking and biking through rain and snow, which they've worked great for. They're not the warmest in the world, but they're definitely warmer than my shoes, so I'm not complaining; usually I just wear shoes all winter long. Bottom line: I'd recommend these. FYI, they fit true-to-size on my feet.

I recently bought these for the Chicago Blizzard of 2011 and they probably saved my life. Perfect boot for snow/wet weather. Fast shipping as usual.

I liked these boots very much at first. Unlike almost all other shoes, they fit my feet, which are very wide in the toes. The second time I put them on, one of the tabs above the heel came off, though I forgave the shoes pretty quickly for this. After wearing them for about two months, however, the rubber began to crack, making them no longer waterproof. They are useless to me now, and I only wore them for a couple months. If you are looking for rugged work boots, I would not suggest these. If you need boots to wear casually around town, I still wouldn't suggest them. I gave them one star for comfort, because wet feet are not comfortable, and one star for style, because having wet feet is not my style.

These are perfect for slush and rain. Very comfortable and don't look like rain boots. If you wear a thick wool sock with these, they work in winter to low teens. These are a great buy - especially for a guy who doesn't want to wear girl boots.

I bought these rain boots for my husband and he wore them for weeks straight. They look like regular shoes, almost like Converse sneakers and are super comfortable according to him. There is no arch support but it's a rain boot so that's pretty much expected.

It took a few tries to get the size right, but I ended up a half size down from my usual. They look great are very comfortable and most importantly keep my feet nice and dry. I've only had them a month or two but they seem to be holding up well to my 2 mile morning dog walks through snow, ice, water and mud. I was especially glad I had them on at dinner the other night when a waiter accidentally spilled an entire beer on my foot. Not a problem. I think i'm in love.

These boots were warm and dry for the first few months. After eight months, the rubber on the instep started cracking, and water leaked in when I walked on wet grass. No refund from Zappos and so they were a waste of money. If you can afford a new pair every six months, they're fine.

I had a pair of the old style Strala (which look like they're on sale) which had thicker rubber and cracked in the instep. These appear to be made of a far thinner, more pliable rubber and so far, no cracks. Honestly, even with the cracking I like these so much I would have likely bought a second pair. Great shoes.

Really enjoying this so far in what has been a pretty wet SF Bay Area winter! Super comfy, completely water proof and totally cool to wear all day. Really easy to slip on and off too! The sole is a tiny bit thin, which I like, but some people may expect a little bit more support down there. I was looking for something that would feel like waterproof version of my Vans slip-ons. This is it.

Fit and construction are excellent and the shoes really are waterproof. However, I wish the shoes came in 1/2 sizes. The lack of cushioning on the sole becomes uncomfortable after long walking but nothing beats keeping your feet dry in the rain.

I bought these for my son who needed a multipurpose shoe to work in. He not only loved the way they fit - but the boots are very comfortable as well as attractive and although they are waterproof (he's a groundskeeper) these boots breathe.
Brands I'd also recommend: when it comes to your feet, don't skimp on quality

These boots looked like they would work for my use, but they were too hard to pull on and lacked arch support. No half sizes offered, so I'll look for something else. I like the service that Zappos offers and the user friendly web site.

Of all the shoes I own, these have gotten the most compliments from people. Everywhere. On the bus, at the airport, in restaurants. I definitely like the sole and arch support, these are way better than Hunters. That said, I have only had these for four months. The elastic side panel on one foot, some of the thread must have broken off. The top is now curly, instead of straight. Also, I just noticed yesterday that the side seam is starting to break. Which means I can no longer try to walk in a few inches of water. I still like these overall, but wish they were sturdier.

The 1st pair of low cut rain boots received looked like they had a small hole & were maybe repaired? Well my husband called & spoke with a representative & had never been treated with so much consideration & respect. He was sent a new pair & has used them several times & they are great! The biggest treat is how nice it is to call & talk with people that treat you so well. And we didn't even have to leave our home to get a great product. Can't compliment Zappos enough! Good job!

I purchased these to combat the rain and for that it works well. Feet stay dry which is important. Only problem is that the sole is very, very soft and flexible which this makes walking in them feel like flip flops. Not to mention the crappy insert they provide comes out every time you take the shoe off, so that makes it very inconvenient when you take the shoes off. The sole is also not very grippy and I almost slipped a few times when walking over metal manhole covers/metal plates in the rain. I've worn them maybe 30 times in the span of a year and one of them has already ripped and formed an inch hole in the side right above the sole and the sidewall of the shoe. That's really disappointing. Needless to say I won't be buying another pair and instead will try to find something comparable at a similar price. I really wanted to like these shoes but the durability was way too crappy and the soles can become a hazard.

I got these as a gift for someone...although I don't know how it fits, I like the style and the quality in person. I especially like how it doesn't look like a typical rain boot.

Great rain shoe. Boot cuff covers the ankle. Size runs slightly large. I normally wear an 8.5, sometimes 9, but these fit best as an 8. Good for wide feet. Comfortable for walking and bicycle commuting. Highly recommended for an urban rain boot.
