Good tension, although not excessive. The feel of the fiber is substantial and the color is very attractive. I ordered the full range of colors.
Well, I can't really say much more than to summarize the other reviews posted about this item and reiterate the convenience and ease of my transactions with "Zappos".
The belt is as described; attractive, serviceable and well crafted. And, yes; ordering the size larger size was the correct choice in my case.
I ordered mine for a cruise (those who have cruised know that one tends to overeat on a cruise) and the "cotton elastic" feature provided me with great comfort without having to unbuckle a notch. Neither did the belt lose its shape.
I, too, found the item to be a bit "pricey" but when I consider the free delivery, the money saved on gas used while "shopping around" for an item which stores may or may not have in my size and the usurious sales taxes where I live, shopping with Zappos seems more and more of a sweet deal to me.
Thanks again, Zappos, for the wonderful service you provide... I've made perhaps 10 or so purchases from Zappos over the years and have been pleased with each and every one of them.

Red Belt -
I have been looking for a red fabric belt for quite a while and you are the only vendor who stocks & sells a great quality product. In fact, you are the only vendor... Great style, great fit, great looks and appropriate cost. I originally ordered the incorrect size, and in talking to your Return Dept. the lady was very responsive, courteous and accommodating. A pleasure to do business.
You may want to delete this from my review, and that is OK. You advertise the belt is made in Italy...IT'S NOT! Stamped on the inside leather on the buckle end it states "Made in USA". Woops!
