While the accessory-design and comedy worlds have very little overlap, there is at least one common denominator between the two, and that´s handbag designer Leslie Newton. Newton can now see what she´s created just about everywhere, too. As the creator of Leslie Newton Bags, a collection of sleek diaper bags inspired by vintage shapes and fabrics, her handi work is sold in stores all over the world.
The baby bags as they are called come in all sorts of fabrics from vintage looking prints to basketball leather. There was a need for a hip, yet functional diaper bag; Timi and Leslie baby bags were the pioneers to fill this void. Leslie´s latest diaper bag collection is chic and sophisticated, using fun fabrics with vintage-inspired prints, and a small shoulder-strap. The ladylike shapes hark back to a more elegant time when ladies didn´t lug 10-pound sacks filled with life´s many necessities around every day, but still have Newton´s signature whimsical touches.

What a well-designed bag. I love all the exterior pockets, which make little items easily accessible without adding bulk. The shoulder strap is a great option to help free up your hands for parenting/shopping, and the faux leather (so practical for a little one) is soft & supple so it forms well to your side when the bag isn't overpacked. Tons of pockets on the interior, and lots of extras (wet bag, changing pad, clutch purse, bottle holder, stroller straps) that help justify the price. The design is wonderful too -- the thick braided handles and antiqued hardware give it lots of style. I have a small frame and wanted a bag that was big enough for all of my baby's travel gear without overwhelming me and making me look silly -- this bag is a great compromise. The smaller purse is a great option, especially because I love clutches, especially when they come with a wristlet option for hands-free wearing. What a great bag!

My son is now 2.5 years old and ever since he was born I've struggled with finding the perfect bag that is attractive and very functional. I couldn't be more thrilled with this bag (I got it in black) and wish I would have found this when he was still a baby. It looks even better in person. Even as the amount of kid-things I need to carry dwindles, I will continue to use this bag.

After looking at several Timi & Leslie bags I bought this one because the reviews and video made it look so big yet still stylish. It arrived and does look great and it is big, but not any bigger than other diaper bags. I packed it with my stuff and realized that because it is tall rather than wide I would have to take things out to get to what is on the bottom. I also like to be able to put a 1L water bottle for myself in my diaper bag and it did not fit in this one with the stuff required for a day out with a baby. In the end I was disappointed with this bag. My take away: if you want a bag that doubles as a purse and diaper bag then this would be a good bag. I have a nice purse and just want a utilitarian diaper bag to carry stuff, so I am returning this and spending a bit more for the Marc by Marc Jacobs medium tote (which I also ordered from Zappos).

I'm very happy with this bag. It looks nice and the pockets (inside and out) are awesome! I work 2 days a week and can't stand to constantly be switching between a baby bag and a grown up bag. I carry this bag only. I also use the clutch if I leave my baby with her grandparents and it's so easy. The taupe looks nice with black and brown. This is my second bag and I wish I would have just splurged on this to begin with.

Be aware that the color shown on the website for the 'caramel' colored bag is nothing like the actual color of the product. I was disappointed when I opened the box- instead of the nice light yellow infused brown you see on the website, it's a dark sort of red-brown mud color. The bag has lots of extra outside pockets and is quite roomy, so I really like the bag itself though- I just don't love the color! Still debating whether I will return it or not. I recommend checking the color of the bags on more than one website before buying, so you know what you're really getting!
