Timex Expedition Rugged Field Watch - Everything about this watch is perfect. It's comfortable, fits right, looks good and has already been subjected to various outdoor activities. Sure it's only a Timex, but for the price and features, it's the perfect weekend/roughing it alternate watch to my Swiss Army watch. Plus the fine folks at Zappos upgraded my delivery for free so I got it sooner. Zappos rocks!

A man's watch - I like this watch. It is big (easy to read*) and heavy. I needed a watch that I would not have to take off while doing hard work. This watch fits the bill. And I think it is a good looking man's watch. Being heavy, it tends to slip down/over the back of the wrist (unless the band is tight) so I have to manually turn it back to read the time a lot of the time. The band may become tighter or looser, depending on the heat of the day. *Being big, it is sometimes difficult to wear with long sleeve shirts -- especially button downs -- and jackets with tight cuffs. *I like the night light for when it's dark but it also lights up a lot of the face background so I can't read it without my glasses on. Not very good for when I am in bed at night but okay for at the movies.

Great Deal - I ordered this for my husband and he was utterly surprised when the watch arrived just 1 day after placing the order. It is exactly what he expected. The white face makes it easy to see and the strap is rugged, yet very comfortable. Thank you for your excellent service.

The year was 1950 when the world's first inexpensive, yet utterly reliable mechanical watch movement was created and with it, a new wristwatch called the Timex. The Timex brand name became a household word during the 1960s. Having completely conquered the low-priced market, the company upgraded and diversified its product line including the first low-priced electric watches for men and women.

In the 1990s, Timex vigorously pursued its long tradition of technological innovation and market leadership. The company introduced the industry's first electroluminescent watch face in 1992, when the blue-green Indiglo® night light appeared on some of its digital and analog watches. Today, more than 75 percent of all Timex watches are equipped with the Indiglo night light®. The All-Day Indiglo® display, using a hologram-like material, provides greater contrast between digital numbers and the display background. In 1994, Timex introduced the Data Link® watch, a sophisticated wrist instrument that carries scheduling, phone numbers, and other personal information, having collaborated with Microsoft to create the necessary software to communicate the data from computer to watch. In 1998, Timex pioneered its i-Control™ turn n pull analog alarm watch and, in a joint venture with Motorola, a new wrist pager called Beepwear®.

Today, the Timex Corporation is the nation's leading watch manufacturer. With a large and varied line of watches, Timex has the style for everyone. From the locker room to the board room, there is a great Timex style time-piece for you.
