So after starting my new job I realized I had to take down a couple of notches from the leather satchel to a more laid back job work stuff holder. After scoping out what backpacks my coworkers had there was one that caught my eye from the get go. It was the H.a.l. my coworker Katey was ranting and raving about the awesome deal she got on it and the well known reputation it came with. I mean seriously, you can't get much better than a lifetime guarantee, right. I had initially received a backpack that had the perfect amount of big boy/girl pockets (you know those that carry the big important stuff like freshly printed client receiving documents and laptops) but it was definitely lacking in the small items organization department (you know those pockets that hold the work ID, pens, highlighters, etc.). Then I met H.a.l. - the total package. With the perfect amount of small and big organization pockets, a handy bottle opener (for those Friday afternoon happy hours) and of course the perfect put your keys and wallet pocket conveniently located on the outermost shell. Need I say more? Thanks Zappos for the hassle free return of my original knapsack and for making my most recent match a match made in Backpack Heaven!

Overall I like this bag for two reasons. It holds tech gear well, and a lot of stuff period. That said, there are downsides. PRO - Lots of Space - Nice compartments - Well made - Good Fit CON - Heavy - Non-TSA (you have to take out laptop unless rolling with macbook air 11 and or ipad) - Bulky even without being full

I love this backpack! It holds my huge work laptop and all the papers that I tote, plus it has handy compartments for my keys, security card(s), wallet and water bottle. In a pinch, it also works as a diaper bag/backpack for hands-free management of babies and toddlers. The fabric seems sturdy and tough, and the bag itself appears well-made. It is also comfortable to wear, and I like that it has a low profile so that I can get through narrow spaces when I need to fit through sideways. This is my first Timbuk2 purchase, and it probably won't be my last.
