I will be as succinct as I can here: If you need a messenger bag, you can't go wrong with the 2010 edition of Timbuk2's classic design, in either the D-Lux variant or the classic (found elsewhere on this site). The improvements made to the overall design are tremendous: The strap is sewn at an angle now, there are three big zippered pockets on the outside as well as the ever-useful "Napoleon" pocket, also zippered. The velcro is now wider and bigger, ensuring certain closure at any angle. And last but not least, the clever cam-buckle design can be a lifesaver for those who, like myself, wear glasses, often with hats. The laptop compartment and the compression straps are wonderful additions; if you can do without both, save yourself a chunk of change and go for the classic version. I like them both, so the extra money was worthwhile to me.One minor issue: Timbuk2, please put a handle on these upscale computer messengers! Then, we will have a perfect computer messenger, just like the perfect Zappos service.

As a loyal Timbuk2 customer who has tried old and new versions of the Commute/Commute 2.0, classic messengers, laptop sleeves, and now the D-Lux, I can honestly say that these bags are not worth the price. The cam buckle is hard to deal with once the bag is loaded, the interior pockets are too small to hold much of anything, and...well, I suppose the bag is rather pretty. If all you care about are looks, get this bag. If you want padding at the bottom of a laptop compartment and a well thought out design, look elsewhere. If you must go Timbuk2, get the Commute 2.0...although, it has its own set of problems. Personally, I bought an Incase laptop sleeve, and a messenger bag at a thrift store, and it serves the purpose. Just like most other Timbuk2 bags, this one needs a redesign.

Great product, great service! Zappos surprised me with complimentary next-day shipping after my order had already been placed! I literally had my bag the next day at no extra cost! Why? Because they take care of their customers and want to retain their customers. This wasn\'t the 1st purchase I\'ve made from Zappos, and it definitely won\'t be the last. Oh, and the Timbuk2 bag is nice, too!

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend, he wanted a bag that he could use to ride to work and he loves it. The fact that its expandable is really useful and the extra strap across the front means you can stop the bag swinging round when you're riding or doing other activities but you can take it off when you don't need it. Its taken a little bit to work in the strap, it was pretty stiff the first week or so but overall this is a great bag. Highly recommended it.

I love this bag. It's enormous, so my world fits in there. The strap makes heavy loads easy to carry and the internal laptop pocket is great for files or papers. The Velcro is noisy, but I just make sure I leave the flap open if I'm in a situation where opening and re-opening the Velcro would create annoying sound. I live in Alaska and I'm tough on bags, but this one is holding up. So pretty too--I always get compliments on it.

I've owned Timbuk2 products for a while now. I have to say that I have yet been displeased. I've been using this bag to carry all of my work in. It literally fits everything including my laptop, iPad and books, as well as, clothes! I live out of this bag and the best part is when you don't have a lot of stuff in it, you can condense the bag with the clips. So, no matter the load the bag always fits! Oh, and just for you ladies out there...I'm 5'3" and 110lbs. It doesn't over bog me at all. Zappos rocks!
