I bought this bag to hold my laptop and books for school as well as my work shoes and uniform when I commute by bike. I have been caught in a downpour once so far and my iPhone made it out dry and unscathed by the time I made it to work. I really like this bag. It has plenty of room, lots of gadget pockets and functions exactly as it is described.

Great bag. Gets the envy of the stiffs carrying traditional laptop bags. Thing is pretty cavernous inside. Truth is, it's actually a little large for my purposes of carrying around a tablet or netbook, power cords, and some magazines or a book. But anything smaller and I think it would look like a purse. I wish it had a handle top center so it would be quicker and easier to pick up.

I was looking for a messenger bag to take to and from work. I am a teacher and was tires of using a backpack so I figured I'd buy a messenger bag. At first I bought this bag but in size small. It was too small. The small could only fit a few files and books. But I needed a large enough one to bring food and school work. As a teacher that hobbies in body building, I take maybe 3-4 meals to work to eat while I am there. The Medium is way bigger than the small. It looks rather small, but I can fit all my files, laptop, 2-3 waters or protein shakes in shake bottles, 3-4 meals in tupper ware and still have room to throw my jacket pens and other stuff. definitely a great buy. Can't go wrong with this bag! Plus, it is extremely well made. I can see my kids using this down the road in life if they chose to!

Got this messenger as a gift for my husband, who had been coveting my daughter's small version. We just took it to Germany and it held all of our walking around travel needs with ease. To make him love it even more, he got several compliments on it from the Germans. They are pricey, so get them on sale when you can! I haven't been getting as many hugs lately as that bag has.

My review is going to be just like a lot of others written about Timbuk2 messengers, but here goes anyway: Trademark design, lots and lots of (ready built) colors to choose from, and the now included matching strap pad make this one of the best messenger bags I've ever owned. The many improvements made to the 2010 model are certainly welcome, and improve the value that much more. Okay, not American made per se, but it will last forever, so that's nice. I could gripe about the lack of side water bottle holders, etc, but I'm not going to, because I happen to love the design. I just put my water bottle beside my books, no biggie. Zappos' service remains excellent as ever, so there really shouldn't be anything stopping you from getting one of the many models Timbuk2 offers.

I ordered this for my college age son. He loves it. It is plenty big, great quality and comfortable. Had his laptop screen cracked in another bag so was thrilled for the new one!

This is a very sturdy and well built bag. Only had it 2 weeks now but you can tell it will last through any abuse. If your using it to carry more than one book (textbook) get the medium. The small is tiny and the large is more like a duffle bag. Its a little expensive but worth it.

Great bag for the price. Pros: Wide strap with Velcro shoulder pad eliminates shoulder pain when hefting heavy load. Velcro and clip flap closure is very secure. Internal organizer is versatile. Nylon is virtually bulletproof. Waterproof is a big plus when caught in rain when commuting. Lack of a support bar / top handle allows bag to conform to your body for a closer fit. Cons: Too many Velcro strips on the flap. It's a bit loud when opening.

Bag is extremely durable, I will not buy another brand. Recommend this bag to all. Wish this bag came with a beefier shoulder strap, though.

I love this bag! It has been very convenient for everything I do. I am especially fond of the water proof interior, it makes it very easy to clean up any spills. (Like water) I can\'t imagine with out it.

I've had my Timbuk2 for several years - and love it! It has plenty of room for all my stuff, is extremely durable and comes in fun color combinations. My boyfriend has had his eyes on mine for quite some time and with his birthday quickly approaching; I decided to treat him to one. I shopped around different internet sites and found Zappos to be most competitive in terms of pricing. I also liked the fact that shipping was free, both ways! By far though, the best part of my experience was the delivery process, which couldn’t have been easier. My boyfriend loves his Timbuk2. Zappos was a great experience!

I can't tell you how much I love this bag. The colors on the screen and in person are the same; and the inside is just as advertised. Zappos price and free delivery made the difference with ordering this or finding something else locally.

I now use the Timbuk2 for my daily bus/bike commute. I'd used a knock-off version for 3 years. The difference in price is well worth it. Every detail was considered in designing and constructing this bag. The interior is light gray, making it easier to find those little things at the bottom of the bag. The shoulder strap is easily adjustable. I could go on. Try one out.

The Timbuk2 messenger bag has a comfortable pad on the strap for the shoulder, and feels comfortable during long commutes. The inside pockets help me to organize those items that usually create a big mess at the bottom of a bag without more than 1 section. I can ride my bike with it as its soft material can tighten and wrap nicely onto my back. So, it’s like a shoulder bag and backpack all in one!

Great bag - First, this is an excellent bag! It's very durable and I am certain bullet proof. Being a student, it is not unusual to carry 4 or 5 texts and assorted junk. This item has room to spare! If it were to be improved, I would take some of the velcro off (I bought some strips to cover mine up) as it's a little noisy when opening. I would also put some rubber backing on the shoulder pad so it doesn't slip when "pursing". I took a long time to pick this bag and compared to about 100 other ones. Overall I am very pleased.

I got this bag because I'm a student and I spend a lot of time commuting via bus. This bag is amazing because it's waterproof, it holds a TON of stuff, and it's supremely comfortable (no back problems for a change, which basically rocks!). It's also got a really good look for being such an all-purpose bag. This bag is definitely worth the investment, and I would recommend it to anyone.
