Okay, first, this is an awesome bag! It's huge! I had to buy a new one because my son is in high school and had to carry all of his books. His locker is clear across the school and he realistically did not have access to it. Because of this, the book bag he had wasn't big enough. The last messenger bag he tried to use broke when he tried to put 4 books in it. This bag was able to accommodate books and the 2" binders, too! This bag is so big, you could possibly put a small child in it! My son's English teacher asked if he planned on running away, because the bag is so big. I would suggest if you are in HS get the extra large bag. If in middle school or lower, get the large or smaller bag if available.

First, the bag is great. Large enough to carry everything, stronger than my back. I was afraid it was too large, but I tend to carry a ton of stuff so I went for it and am happy. Only down side is the strap is not padded; get the optional padded strap for 10 bucks. Second, Zappos is quick and easy to deal with plus they have a deal with AMEX to get membership rewards; made the bag even cheaper.

Always great quality. . . Timbuk2's classic messenger bag is everything and more that you want it to be--zipper compartmentalized for safe storage of cell phones, PDAs and other effects, practically stylish, study and, most of all, EXTREMELY roomy. I have been buying Timbuk2 bags for nearly 20 years, and have found that each new one is better than the last. I have never found a sport/utility/messenger bag that tops TIMBUK2's quality!!!!
Brands I'd also recommend: Timbuk2 all the way. . .
