These are great boots!
I was looking for a WARM steel toe boot, and this is it. It wreaks technology! This is the first Timberland I've ever owned, I will buy Timberland products again! The toe has plenty of room and is warm. There was no break in time. I love the lacing system, even though they are fairly big like any 8" boot. They are easy to put on and take off. All the seams and sewing are quality stitched. They are somewhat heavy compared to lower cost boots, but not bad at all for a well insulated boot with a well built heavy duty tread. I find the boot to be very flexible and allows for great movement like stooping and jumping. The leather wears well in a moderate impact work environment. They are decent looking. Totally waterproof and great in snow. The tread are pretty good on ice and excellent on packed snow. With winter here, I walk in them about 5 to 7 miles a day inside and out. I was worried about my feet sweating in them, they have been great about that even though I go from hot to cold at work. Hands DOWN the best winter boot I have EVER owned. Like almost all my other work shoes, I use a padded insert to make them more cushy.

Great boot! Great store!
Timberland makes fantastic boots - period. They are some of the most comfortable boots on the market. I normally wear their PIT BOSS or CLASSIC 6" for 3 seasons a year but the winters here (Central Asia) require a heavier boot and this Thermal Force fits the bill perfectly. Warm and comfortable yet not so stiff that you cannot work in them in a active environment. They really gave some thought to the boot tongue and to the toe area. It's an extremely warm boot but does not feel bulky. I bought the exact size I normally wear in all shoes/boots and they fit perfectly. Cons? Not really. I would have preferred a heavier boot lace (like on the Pit Boss) and perhaps the last 2-3 eyes (instead of 1) be speed lace hooks to make it faster getting in and getting out of them but Timberland probably knows best... ZAPPOS? They are the real 5 Star champs. I've been a customer for quite a few years and their service continues to be excellent. Great boot! Great store!
