I don't usually wear boots for work. I'm on my feet all day and I usually wear NB Cross Trainers. I wanted a boot that would keep my feet from getting wet either from snow coming in over the top or from stepping in puddles. I've had these for a month now, and I've found them very comfortable. I wish they were a little narrower, so I wear them with thicker socks to make up the difference. In all fairness to Timberland, I usually buy a B width, which was not available, so I ordered the D's. They seem a little looser than other D width shoes I have had.

Timberland PRO Expertise LT Hiker Steel Toe is built tough BUT has one fatal flaw. The shoe lace eyelets are not steel but a plastic material sewed into the shoe. This is a critical failing point with this shoe. After 20 days, I went to tighten my shoe in the middle of the wilderness only to have an eyelet fail on me. I couldn't properly tighten this shoe on the long hike back into civilization. Thankfully, Zappos lived up to their WORLD CLASS SERVICE and provided a full refund.

I ware a size 14 wide so it is very hard to find comfortable boots. This shoe is not too heavy considering it is steel toe. So far very comfortable and durable and durable. Thanks Zappos!

Pro LT Hiker - Another good boot from Timberland. It doesn't have the arch support of the Pro Ratchet, but if you add some support in there, you have a good comfortable boot to wear daily.

Excellent Choice - This is the first time I purchased this type of boot. I usually purchase Timberland's steel toe sneaker for work. The boot is light weight and comfortable.
I'd also recommend: Timberland Steel Toe Sneaker
