This shoe is the best all around boys' shoe I've found yet. It can go from classroom to playground to formal event and fit in perfectly. It has proven to resist scuffing on the toe to the point where I will let my son wear it for his roughest play without worry of harm to the shoes. They stay on through the rough play without slippage, and provide comfort without him slipping them off and running around without his shoes. This truly is the ultimate boys' shoe.

Great shoe choice! This is the perfect shoe. I needed a black shoe for my son for the holidays and really wanted something he could wear again. They are made well and look solid unlike some kid’s shoes and really are easy to get on. I would highly recommend if you are in the market for this type of versatile shoe. The comfy shoe - The shoe is very comfortable; my kid likes it very much. Also he chose it by himself so it looks stylish to him. Only one thing, I recommend to order it a half size bigger than the actual size of your kid, because the shoe had a tall instep, so it's a very closed shoe; so the kid can have a little difficulty putting it on. But in general the shoe is awesome.

I like these shoes so much that I purchased them again recently to replace the last pair that my 5-year-old son outgrew and the extensive wear and tear! The shoes are durable letting him run and play like a true energetic boy. They are also comfortable from day one. The shoes are appropriate for school or dressier occassions. Shoes tend to fit a 1/2 size bigger.

I just bought my 4th pair of these shoes for my son after he outgrew the last pair. These are some of my all-time favorite shoes for my son. They are easy to put on and take off, and they strike a nice balance between being dressy and casual. They seem to be comfortable and they are very durable. My son wears them a lot without socks during the summer once they're broken in (it's also a nice way to get a little more wear out of them as they get too small to wear with socks). They do seem to run about a size larger than many other shoes I've bought for my son (i.e. a size 9 in this shoe is about the same as a 10 Merrell Rugged Moc), but I find the sizing of children's shoes to be so inconsistent it's hard to say of these shoes run large or if the other shoes I've bought run small.

I just discovered Zappos. Where have I been? Love these shoes. I have two boys (2&4) and the first set I bought were too big but decided to keep them because of the awesome return policy, reorder the correct size. I ordered "up" because of the review, but I feel they are more true to size. Hopefully, we will just grow into the bigger ones. These shoes are both dressy and casual. They are a little snug a first but quickly get soft and comfortable. My two year old slides them on easily and runs like they he's wearing sneakers. Highly recommend!

My son loves these shoes! They are soft, very comfortable, they don't slip off and very fast and easy to slip on. Must-haves for preschool and school. They look very 'big-boy' like and durable enough to kick a ball in the back yard.

Love Zappos! Love the shoes! I ordered my son's true shoe size (size 11), but when he tried them on, they seemed to be a 1/2 size too big. Returned the first pair and the next day received the new pair (size 10.5). They look adorable on and my son wore them the entire day without taking them off. He didn't complain a bit, and they still look new after a full day of use by a five-year-old who was running, jumping, dragging, climbing. They are a little heavier than I would have liked.

These are awesome shoes. My 3.5 year old son loves them. Slightly stiff at first, but within just a couple days have molded to his feet well. I think they run just a tad on the small side. I bought a half size larger so he could wear them longer. Hopefully will last all winter because they are spending. Very well made and show little wear after a good two months of use by a typical toddler boy. Would definitely suck up the cost and buy them again next winter if they're still on Zappos.

I got these for both of my boys (age 4 and 6) for a wedding to wear with suits. They worked very well and look good with casual clothes too. My boys love wearing them (can you believe it?) which means they must be comfortable.

I bought these shoes for my 3.5 year old. I normally buy Stride Rites or Keens, but I really liked the reviews for this product. I think the shoe itself is very comfortable for him and he always wants to wear them, probably because they are so easy for him to get off an on. However, after about 2 months of average use, maybe wearing them 3 days out of the week, they've formed a good size hole near the toe seam. I specifically bought these a half size too big so he could wear them through the winter, so they are definitely not too small on them. The leather in the toe area just isn't holding up to the average wear and tear of a 3 year old with average use. Stride Rite's or Keens hold up much better. In fact, this is the first time my son has ever put a hole in a pair of shoes. He's never come close before, so this is very disappointing for us because I do think these look nice, are comfortable for him to wear, and certainly are easy enough for him to put on.

Nice looking shoes, but my son has trouble getting his foot into them to the point of yelling frustration. Had we tried them on in a store, I may have kept shopping otherwise, he doesn't have a weird instep and other wise dresses himself with no problems. Once on it is nice looking and he says it is comfortable.
