First of all, it wasn't even a full 24 hours from the time I ordered to the time they arrived at my house. Love Zappos. Yes, these boots are amazing. Well made, snug, warm fit and easy to get in and out of despite being tall lace ups. They come to about mid calf on me. They look pretty sleek too. I was wearing thin socks and normally wear an 8. I ordered the 9 and it looked like it might be too big until I tried it on. Perfect snug fit! I couldn't believe it. Definitely go up a whole size. The last pair of Timberlands I had lasted for 8 years before they were stolen. I expect the same of these boots. Excellent product from a responsible and reliable company. Love Timberland and Zappos.

These shoes are fashionable and functional. They come up to mid-calf and have a lovely thermal layer inside. I think it's this layer that makes them run slightly small, though really not that small. It feels a bit snug when you first put them on, but it's more like snug around your foot as opposed to the length actually being too short. I definitely suggest ordering up a half size like Zappos says. I am usually a 9, and ordered both the 9.5 and the 10. Honestly, I could get away with either, but the 10 was just too big in the heel. I am returning that pair and keeping the 9.5, which fit perfectly even with relatively thick socks. However, the thermal layer keeps my feet so toasty I actually prefer thinner socks so far. Definitely a must have for the winter months!

First of all, I chose to free (four day?) shipping; however, Zappos sent my order days early. I order these boots on Saturday and received them two days later today on Monday. Amazing? Yes. These boots are also perfect; I needed something more durable than an Ugg boot, and also something that was waterproof/snow proof. More importantly I needed a good boot to walk to and from classes in, something that would not be too heavy, something to battle the Midwest snow and the slippery sidewalks on campus. This boot is EVERYTHING I was looking for. They are not heavy at all and can easily walk all day in them and my feet stay warm and dry all day. I also normally wear a size 9, but ordered a 9½ as recommended by Zappos. The 9½ looks a little big on, but fits perfectly with normal socks and with thick socks.

These arrived superfast and fit well. The inside is cozy and warm and the outside is waterproof. I wore them immediately to watch a rainy, all-day cross country meet and the following week wore them in the snow, and my feet were warm and dry. They look a little bit like snowboarding boots, they are a bit bulky, so they are not ideal for work, but I didn't really buy them for work! Based on recommendations, I ordered a half-size up and they fit perfectly.

These boots are amazing! I'm prone to always having cold feet because of my bad circulation and I've yet felt frosty. They do run a little small, so I would order at least a half size up for your big winter socks. I'm so glad I got these!

These are awesome. Warm, waterproof, slip resistant, and made out of recycled materials. I stepped into an ankle-deep puddle and my foot was still bone dry. When I walked into a grocery store from the slush outside, these boots had a firm grip on the linoleum even though they were still wet. They also got here a day early. I got these as an exchange for boots that didn't work out. Zappos made the whole thing very easy. The toe feels a little big, but not uncomfortably so. I definitely recommend these cool-looking boots!

Love this boot. I'm going to try a 1/2 size larger, but if I can get it right, I think these will be winners. I found them instantly comfortable out of the box- perfect cushioning, great tread, flexible, well made, just the right weight, warm and toasty. Color is nicer in person.

Love this boot! This was my first pair of Timberlands and was not disappointed. I normally wear a size 7, but purchased size 7.5, and they feel great! I wore them for the first time this past weekend, and they definitely kept my feet warm & toasty while at Niagara Falls (Canadian side). They are so cute and are comfy.

These boots are wonderful! I went with a half size bigger to allow for thick winter socks. They fit great and are not too big with regular socks on. Super warm, but comfortable to wear indoors as well. I usually expect good winter boots to be heavy and bulky; these are neither.

Awesome boot for cold, snow, rain. I can't vouch for ice-worthiness yet. Do order a half size larger than your normal shoe size. I am usually a 6½ or 7, and I followed other reviewers advice and got a 7½ -- fits perfectly. Walked around in snow half-way up to my knees and boots proved snowproof and waterproof. For walking in much more than a foot of snow, you might consider a taller boot than these - they fall just above mid-calf on me. Otherwise, you couldn't ask for more out of a winter boot.

Too small! I loved the look of these boots, but they were extremely tight. I wear a size 8, and it was at least a half size too small. Suggest ordering a half size up to make sure they fit! Love Zappos' service!

I have to say these are the best boots I have ever worn! Great for cold snowy weather with great traction and they really keep your feet warm. You do need to get them a half size larger but they will fit fine. I am thinking of ordering another pair in case something happens to these ones!

These babies just helped me navigate 12" of snow and ice and were terrific. As reported for others, you must order up 1/2 -1 full size. I normally wear a 9 and originally ordered a 9 and 9 1/2.. and both were too snug. You don't have to wear socks but I wanted to, so I ordered a size 10 and they were absolutely comfy. Plus, I felt very secure walking in the snow and on the ice.. didn't slip once! And believe me, I almost always end up on my butt! Not this time!

I love these boots! Exactly what I was looking for. They keep my toes toasty warm and dry. I can stomp through the snow and puddles and not slip when I walk into stores. The only problem is something rubs against the back of my heel.
