Khaki version, pretty much perfect except: The three-layer sole is a major drawback in that the top layer, which is stitched to the body, is made of a weak cardboard like material which is bound to saturate with water and then seep via capillary action under the footbed. It's really chintzy, papery stuff that arrives "burnished" but has almost no mass. The pros: buttery soft upper, really comfy fit but a tad snug along the large-toe metacarpal which is one of the two pressure-points keeping the boot on (the other being the whole of the heel which was expertly done, equally distributed), rather light-weight, looks great. Too bad about that feature I described which makes this a "kitchen shoe", which is not what I nor the designers probably had in mind for this "Earthkeeper". Get some water-proofer for the uppers; that softness is a sponge for water.

My boyfriend tried this boot in brown nubuck. He normally wears a size 10-1/2, but he ordered size 11. It was way too big for him. I tried to get him to order a smaller size because the boot was really cute on him, but he couldn\'t decide how much smaller to order. He returned them. He said they had a little arch support, but an orthotic might be needed.
Additional Brand Information
The Timberland story begins in 1952, when Nathan Swartz buys part of the Abington Shoe Company. He learns how to make shoes, and starts working on ways to make them better. Timberland history was in the making in 1965 when the Swartz family introduced injection molding to the footwear industry and the first truly waterproof Timberland® leather footwear is born.
The Timberland mission is to equip men, women, and kids to make a difference in their world. Timberland does this by creating outstanding shoes, clothes, watches, and other accessories and by trying to make a difference in the communities where they live and work.
Timberland is a big company made up of a lot of small parts and incredibly talented people. They make boots, shoes, clothes, watches, and various gear that are comfortable enough to wear all day and rugged enough for all year. The people at Timberland don't rest on their accomplishments. If they did, they’d have only made one waterproof leather boot.
