The look of the boot is a bit masculine. Exactly what I was looking for! They are a bit narrow in the foot, but I ordered a half size smaller. I usually wear a 9 in boots, but got an 8.5 because of the reviews. Glad I did. They were tough to get on the first time, but after a couple of times of taking them off and on I can tell they will stretch out to perfection in no time.

I bought these boots for myself for Christmas to wear on my motorcycle and I absolutely love them. They are warm, comfy, and versatile. I wear them with jeans, and with dresses for an edgy look that's still stylish. I bought these in a wide size and they were still a little snug for a while but quickly broke in. I can't wait til the hot summer weather is over so I can start wearing them again!

An odd fit - I was excited when I found these because they looked nice enough for city wear, but rugged enough to wear around a ranch on a rainy day, and the price was good. I was really disappointed when they came; they fit wrong all over. My calf is about 15 inches around, and I have a wide size 7 foot. I could hardly get them zipped, and the ankle felt really tight, too. The foot felt comfortable enough, but the boots were really long in the toe, giving the whole thing a sort of odd cowboy boot look. They made my feet look huge, especially when I tried them on under jeans. I returned the boots and will probably spring for Fryes instead.

I love these boots! I love these boots so much I would buy another pair now if they were available (and I've only had mine for 6 weeks). They were comfortable from the first time I put them on and they offer better arch support than nearly any other shoe I own. They are close-fitting with heavy socks. And they look fantastic!

Best Boots Ever!!!!!! LOVE!!!! I bought the brown pair, and loved them so much I had to have the black as well. Other reviews seem to complain about the narrow width and calf- it makes me wonder just what their legs look like! I have a very large muscley calf (16"!) and usually can't wear tall boots at all, but the gusset on these allowed for a lot of stretch- I was comfortable in them even through my last pregnancy. I have very wide feet and usually have to wear a (too long for me) size ten, but these seem to be wider width than other brands. I got the medium width, and fit happily into a 9.5. They're not quite dressy enough for the office, but are comfortable the whole way to and from - the perfect "commute boot". These look great with my suits and dresses, a much better alternative to the sneakers-and-suit look that we working city girls have to resort to for comfort. They are my weekend staples as well, and are great for walking around the city and running after my two sons in the park. I have worn these every day for more than two years, and they are still as comfortable as when I first put them on. The brown has a more weathered look than the black, but that's probably because I wear them more often. I honestly can't recommend these highly enough- I will probably be stockpiling them in five years when mine finally die!

Almost great timberland boots - Wanting a pair of winter boots and knowing the quality of Timberland, I ordered these and overall I am very satisfied with them. The craftsmanship is everything you would expect at this price point: rugged, durable, handsome. However, I find the shaft is quite narrow even with the gusset let out. I walk a lot; I have well developed gams and can barely get these boots zipped. Oh, yes, the leather eventually stretches a bit and now I can get them zipped over very thin winter long johns. Hopefully it will stretch a bit more. Another inch in the shaft would be most welcome for me. They offer great traction on snow not so much on ice. Waterproof? Hmmm...I used Sno Seal on mine. It darkens the leather somewhat but protects it and keeps the water out. This is an accessory item that Zappos should sell. Except for the narrow shaft, these boots are extremely comfortable and have been from the first moment I put them on (an unusual quality in boots in my opinion). I have worn them all day with no problem. I would have preferred them in black but black was not offered. The look is rugged chic, appropriate for winter boots in Chicago. I would buy these boots again. Timberland: improve the waterproofing, offer black and increase the shaft width and you will have a 5 star product.

Just what I wanted! I love the look of this boot-not too rocker and looks great with skinny jeans. The leather is high quality and very warm and comfortable. I got the buckskin and it's a beautiful color.

Great knock-around boot - These boots fit great from the get-go (I wear a 7 in Charles David heels and an 8 in Adidas/Asics running shoes and the 7.5 boot was perfect). They are warm, truly waterproof, and very comfortable. I have 'athletic' calves, so the boot is snug, but does not pinch.

Nice! I like these boots. I've worn them several times and so far so good. I have average to wide calves and these boots fit great. I've worn them over leggings and under jeans and both ways work fine. The calf is also adjustable, although I haven't needed it yet. I would say they're pretty versatile.
