This is a sturdy (but not heavy), good-looking shoe. My only complaint is that the arch feels too high. However, the shoe is otherwise comfortable and fits well.

Timberland Barentsburg Plain Toe Oxford - GREAT shoe!! These have no "break-in" period. They fit very comfortable out of the box. I love the contrast stitching on the shoe. These fit so well I bought another pair in an additional color. These can be dressed up or works well with jeans. Very versatile. Thanks for the great price & selection Zappos. Timberland shoes are one of the best in my opinion. I recommend any timberland shoe or boot.

Arch is too high - Normally, I like a high arch. But it seems too high in these shoes. Also, I ordered the EE but it seems more narrow than normal. Other than that, it's a great shoe for casual wear. Looks good with jeans or Dockers. I'm keeping them.

A little narrow - I don't usually wear wide shoes, but I found these to be a little narrow, so much that I'm going to have to exchange them. They look awesome though, and I've been extremely happy with Timberland shoes in the past.

Great casual work shoe - I have been buying this type shoe for a number of years. I buy a new pair and retire the older pair to use for yard work. I then throw the oldest pair out. I generally have to get a new pair when the yard work pair wears out. Thus I get about 4 years out of each pair.

If they did, they’d have only made one waterproof leather boot.

These are so comfy! I wear a women’s size 7 or 7.5 and I bought a size 6, but they were much too big, so I exchanged them and got a size 5 and they fit great!

Timberland Fan - For decades I have struggled to find shoes that provided a comfortable fit 'out of the box' to accommodate my 'hammer toes', a condition that seems to be worsening with time. My first Zappos order was a pair of Timberland boots. The fit around the toe box was one I had given up experiencing unless going to something custom made. I may end up owning everything in the Timberland collection. Fit,fin ish and arch support are all first rate as are the leathers. I have since ordered 3 more Timberland designs. As an added bonus, Zappos has been excellent to deal with. These oxfords allow a comfortable brisk walk over lunch without having to change shoes and look good with dress chinos or jeans.
