Thorogood 6" Soft Toe

I bought these boots a year ago, and have worn them every, I mean every day, all day since. I work as a motorcycle technician on my feet most of the day. I abuse them hard, and they have held up better than great. The craftsmanship and comfort is unmatched. Take them out of the box put them on and wow in wonderment. After a year the only thing I can say is they are ready for a new sole. If you are thinking of purchasing new boots look no further than these. Buy them. You will not regret it! I wish they had them in all black, I would buy another pair.

I work 10 hour days, so I wanted something that breathed well, and would stand up to heavy use. After three weeks (150 hours), I feel like these were a good choice. The leather is softer than expected and had minimal break-in time. These fit wider than some Danner wides and Carolina wides that I tried as well.

Excellent work boot. Others have said in their reviews, as with most work boots, when you first get them the leather is a bit stiff and can be uncomfortable. But rubbing a decent amount of mink oil into the boots made all the difference in the world. And with only one application. Applying a generous amount around the seams will also add to the already offered waterproof feature. I will say that even after being broken in and softened up I would still recommend buying some high quality boot socks. They're a bit expensive but the blisters it saves you from your foot sliding around makes it well worth the extra cash spent. The flat rubber soles give you the feeling of wearing tennis shoes. Or close to it. Very comfortable boot. I've only had them a couple months but to date, if they continue to stand the test of time in my opinion they're worth every penny. You get what you pay for and these boots are easily worth their price. And made in USA. That may sound trivial but you just don't see that very often these days.

Truly, one of the only American made boots. All resources, are American. You will not find a better boot. I researched and tried all kinds and brands of boots for years. Indian Larry got me hooked on this boots. Best boot hands down. From riding to working or just a day off. From construction and concrete for 12 hours plus, this boots feel like walking on air. and I am not a little guy either. Very important, it will like all leather, take a week or so to break in. I would suggest work the leather with some mink oil before and a couple days later. Get some Thorlo moderate cushion work shocks and Thorogood shock zone or red insoles. Made a huge difference, night and day. The sock have extra padding in the toe, heel and the ball of the foot.
