Best socks you'll ever wear - I've worn Thorlos for the past six/seven years. So far, I haven't found a better sock for the serious walker, runner, tennis player, or even regular daily use. As for value, durability and shape retention; I'm still using my very first pair. One could find Thorlos expensive at first, but considering a single pair of Thorlos can give you the service of a dozen pairs of regular sports store socks plus all of Thorlos's characteristic foot protection; they automatically become one of our best kept "national treasures".

Best socks for "Intractable Neuropathy " I've diagnosis of "Intractable Neuropathy" of feet. I have gone to great lengths to find the best socks & shoes for this disabling condition. These socks are by far the most comfortable for me. Great support also when I had plantar fascitis. These are worth the added cost. I've tried many othr brands and I keep these ready while my other socks lie in the drawer unused for months or in the bottom of the hamper. Have only bought [haven't trid yet] one other pair that looked promisingly comfortable--a pair of Columbia fleece socks.

Good padding. And, the material attracts dust and pills like crazy - The socks are great for people with foot problems who need padding. The problem is that they're made of a non-cotton material that attracts every piece of dust on the floor, even in our relatively clean house. Also, the material tends to pill up little nubby strands of the material pull lose and ball up. The pilled material and dust combo keeps the dust from washing off in the machine. So, you can't really walk in the socks unless you have your shoes on. Make great dust cloths, but poor all-around socks.

Problem Solved - I wear orthotics and purchased these socks to cushion the impacts on my feet. Previously I had problems developing callouses and blisters. These socks make wearing the orthotics very comfortable. The socks stay up well. My wife tried on a pair and insisted that I give her two pair and order more in other colors. They are pricey and I think I'll watch for sales, but I will buy again.

Attention Long Distance Walkers - I love to walk, and walk, and walk... you get the point. I am currently training for the Breast Cancer 3-Day, 60 mile walk, I went on a quest for the perfect sock. Having worn Thorlos for shorter distances, I knew that this time I would need maximum cushioning on the ball of my foot, heel and toe but also across the top of my foot so the shoe tongue wouldn't hurt my bony foot! These socks are perfect-with one tiny defect. Like trouser hosiery, the upper edge indents my calf a tiny bit; I cope with this by adjusting the sock up or down a bit now and then. I've tried all different lengths and brands, many of which are fine for short walks like a half-marathon. For longer distances, your foot needs greater protection. If you love to walk-miles and miles-try these; they protect your foot and are VERY soft and comfy.

Blister Free Feet with These Socks- I FINALLY found THE socks. I've tried every kind of sock to help with my burning feet and blisters. If I walk for even a short distance I always get VERY hot feet and blisters. I read the reviews at Zappos and thought I'd give Thorlos a try. I LOVE THEM!!!! No hot feet after HOURS of walking and no blisters. I couldn't believe it when I took my shoes off. I've tried other brands with the double layer, cool max, anti-blister promises, but they never worked. These DID!! After washing the socks they didn't all shrink up like most others either. Thought the price was scary, but when I got the results I've never seen with any other sock, I'm more than willing to pay the extra. I'll be ordering more in the future. Thanks Zappos. Thorlos Walking Crew Sox - Wow, I never knew how good a sock could feel until I tried these! I balked at the price at first, but then realized that if they are as good as they claim, then they are worth spending the extra coin! I am plagued with plantar fasciitis and flat feet, so I often have discomfort. I've also blown out the ACL in my knee, so I need all the help I can get. These socks have actually helped to alleviate some of the tenderness I experience after activity. I would really recommend these socks not only for their intention (walking), but for regular use. I have already used them for walking, snowshoeing (I live in Michigan, and we've been hit hard with snow already), working (I'm a first grade teacher so I'm on my feet all day), and snowblowing. They keep your feet warm and dry which is very important to me as I often find my feet sweating and then getting cold. I believe in the quality of these socks that I am going to part with a pair and share them with my mom!

I live in the city without a car and work with dogs. So, I am on my feet a lot. The man who made my orthotics told me I needed to get away from cotton socks. I heard good things about Thorlos. So, I bought a pack of the walking sock and I have so far been very satified with the fit and comfort.

Superb comfort for people who use their feet- Thorlos can't be beat- I am always on the lookout for walking socks that combine intelligent design, durability, good fit, comfort, and attractive appearance, and these Thorlos Walking Crews win hands down. They truly fit- they truly respond to the shape and the function of the human foot. The padded heels, ball, and instep are a great comfort during a long day of walking and/or standing. The socks accomplish all this function without unnecessary bulk, so they fit neatly in "street" walking shoes, and look nice. They are long enough to work well as trouser socks. They wash and dry like a dream, and last forever. They are made in the USA, amazingly enough. The price seems a bit intimidating at first, and buying 6 pairs may also seem a little daunting, but you will not fail to get full use and enjoyment out of every pair for a long time to come!

walking socks - Have been looking for Thorlo brand of walking socks. Not many places carry them because they are pricey. But they are the most comfortable for exercise-walking. I was glad to find them at Zappos.com.

Thorlos - These are very comfortable socks and will fit most any foot within the range selected. My only complaint is that after a number of washing they begin to unravel at the top (band around your ankle). Pulling on threads creates more and when you cut off the new threads more appear. I am getting about a years wear out of a pair which on average are worn once a week. I have some white Thorlos that never wear out. Like the energizer bunny they go on and on. I would give these socks 5 stars for comfort but due to the unthreading problem I will give them only 4 stars.

I have found my socks! I couldn’t bring myself to pay this much for socks but after I wore them to walk several miles a day in, I ordered my husband some, & plan on replacing all our socks with these.
