I brought this backpack as a gift for my mom. She loves the color, the compartments, and the design of the North Face. I would definitely recommend buying it to anyone, as my mom is a picky person. For her to like this, it must be good.

I bought this pack for my recent 2 week trip to Hawaii. It was very handy! I used the roomy main compartment with padded laptop area for my Kindle, coat, and lunch on the plane trip. The middle compartment with its multiple pockets was great for my cell phone, wallet, and misc. I used the tall outer pocket for paperwork. My car keys were snapped into the hook inside the top of the main compartment. And the water bottle holders on each side were very easy to use and held two large bottle with ease.During day trips around the island, the pack's easily-adjustable chest and waist straps and padded back were wonderful during hiking, and I was able to stuff so much into it for beach forays.I highly recommend this pack!

I highly recommend this backpack for anyone who struggles with back pain! It's got lots of padding in all the right places, and yet is roomy enough for all of my textbooks. Very happy with this purchase! :)

I am a 19 year old girl using this backpack for college and it is absolutley perfect! It is a great bag for the following reasons: It is not too manly for women, it is perfect in size, my 15" MacBook Pro fits nicely even with a sleeve over it, it provides great organization! I picked this bag over other North Face bags because it does not have anything in excess that I would not use. Jester and other bags had strings in the front. I did not need them so I bought this bag. You should definitely get this bag as it is so comfortable! I got the black color.

I bought this in black for work and business travel. It's not super roomy, but large enough for what I need. The stiff padding on the back of the backpack is great, especially when mine fell off the table onto the sidewalk. No damage. But the reason it fell is that when it's full, it's unstable. The front two pockets aren't as deep as the back one so when they're full, it tips forward. I also agree with the other reviewer about the front zipper and it's C shape. It's really hard to open/shut with one hand. And the zipper comes down halfway to the pocket, so whatever's in the pocket gets exposed. I don't feel safe putting my wallet in there. I also don't like that the fabric covers the zippers. The zipper keeps getting stuck so I have to flip the fabric, then zip/unzip. It's comfortable to carry. Overall, for what I use it for, I like it. But when I have to take things in and out more than twice a day, it's frustrating. It's also extremely durable. My old one fell apart and showed wear. This is holding up great so far.

Add This Brand to My Favorites
In 1966, two hiking enthusiasts founded a small mountaineering retail store in the heart of San Francisco's North Beach. The company soon became known as The North Face, a retailer of high-performance climbing and backpacking equipment. (The name was selected because in the Northern Hemisphere, the north face of a mountain is generally the coldest, iciest and most formidable to climb.) In 1968, The North Face began designing and manufacturing its own brand of high-performance mountaineering apparel and equipment, and in the early 1980s, extreme skiwear was added to the product offering. By the end of the decade, The North Face became the only supplier in the United States to offer a comprehensive collection of high-performance outerwear, skiwear, sleeping bags, packs and tents.

Using all types of proprietary technology, TNF provides The North Face jackets, The North Face clothes, The North Face pants, The North Face bags and The North Face shoes with quality, durability, and above all else, functionality. Throughout the years, The North Face jacket and outerwear division has set the standard in the industry. With styles such as The North Face Denali jacket and vest, The North Face Apex Bionic jackets, and The North Face Nupste jackets, The North Face jackets proves time and time again that they are at the forefront of high-performance apparel.

Their dedication to footwear is no different. With the different categories of trail running, hiking, mountaineering, and most recently ultra running, The North Face shoes division continues to raise the bar for innovation and quality in their shoes. Using proven technology such as Gore-Tex® and Gore-Tex® XCR®, their insulated footwear can sustain use in low, sub-zero temperatures, and with the innovative Boa® technology, users can have a precise fit with the ability to adjust quickly and on the fly. All features that make The North Face shoes a leader in the technical footwear arena.

The North Face’s dedication to quality can also be seen in their gear and equipment. The North Face sleeping bags with a high fill of goose down for warmth and multiple lengths. The North Face daypacks and expedition packs such as the Recon and Jester that are rugged, durable, and can hold all you gear. The North Face tents that will withstand extreme temperatures on Everest and Mt. Rainier. If you have a desire to test the limits, The North Face equipment will help you on your adventure.

I bought this backpack for my son for college and he loves it! Almost went smaller, but I liked that this had more than 2 compartments. Good choice for carrying around a laptop, too.

This bag was too small to fit my muscular husband's 6'3", 220 pound frame. He loved the bag but it just looked silly and the chest strap was at his collarbone, even after making various adjustments to the shoulder straps. I returned it and got a slightly bigger North Face bag, which fit him much better.

I haven't had a backpack since middle school but I decided to get one after figuring out that using a purse in college isn't the smartest thing to do. I love the way the backpack looks. Clean, doesn't easily get dirty. I love the laptop sleeve so that my computer isn't moving around all over and getting scratched up with my books. I love using the two drink holders because I usually have a water bottle in one and an orange/apple in the other. I do think that the main compartment isn't huge but it holds the notebook, folder and couple of books that I usually need for daily classes. My backpack tends to fall forward whenever I set it down but I don't put many things in the front pocket so I think that is just how it is made. I also think the backpack is kind of long so whenever I put all my stuff in, there's a lot of top space that I usually stuff a jacket in.
