Thanks! We'll notify you as soon as we add new styles for The North Face.
In 1966, two hiking enthusiasts founded a small mountaineering retail store in the heart of San Francisco's North Beach. The company soon became known as The North Face, a retailer of high-performance climbing and backpacking equipment. (The name was selected because in the Northern Hemisphere, the north face of a mountain is generally the coldest, iciest and most formidable to climb.) In 1968, The North Face began designing and manufacturing its own brand of high-performance mountaineering apparel and equipment, and in the early 1980s, extreme skiwear was added to the product offering. By the end of the decade, The North Face became the only supplier in the United States to offer a comprehensive collection of high-performance outerwear, skiwear, sleeping bags, packs and tents.

Using all types of proprietary technology, TNF provides The North Face jackets, The North Face clothes, The North Face pants, The North Face bags and The North Face shoes with quality, durability, and above all else, functionality. Throughout the years, The North Face jacket and outerwear division has set the standard in the industry. With styles such as The North Face Denali jacket and vest, The North Face Apex Bionic jackets, and The North Face Nupste jackets, The North Face jackets proves time and time again that they are at the forefront of high-performance apparel.

Their dedication to footwear is no different. With the different categories of trail running, hiking, mountaineering, and most recently ultra running, The North Face shoes division continues to raise the bar for innovation and quality in their shoes. Using proven technology such as Gore-Tex® and Gore-Tex® XCR®, their insulated footwear can sustain use in low, sub-zero temperatures, and with the innovative Boa® technology, users can have a precise fit with the ability to adjust quickly and on the fly. All features that make The North Face shoes a leader in the technical footwear arena.

The North Face’s dedication to quality can also be seen in their gear and equipment. The North Face sleeping bags with a high fill of goose down for warmth and multiple lengths. The North Face daypacks and expedition packs such as the Recon and Jester that are rugged, durable, and can hold all you gear. The North Face tents that will withstand extreme temperatures on Everest and Mt. Rainier. If you have a desire to test the limits, The North Face equipment will help you on your adventure.

I really like it. I ordered a large but it seems big for the sizing (as I am 5'7'' 180 lbs, a definite size large) so I am going to order a medium to see which one fits better then send the other one back. The color is beautiful and it actually has a curve cut in the sides which you can not see on the model. I plan on using this when I travel and wearing one of those pullover fleeces underneath for warmth if necessary. I love the fact that you can unzip the the underarms if you get too warm because it does not take much for me to break a sweat.

I ordered the Vaporous Grey/Sonnet Grey Venture Jacket and it is awesome! More of a creamy white than actual grey. Super light-weight and comfortable. If you are looking for a very warm rain jacket, this probably wouldn't do, seeing as it is so thin. However, I ordered mine a size larger than what I needed so that I could layer underneath. Looking forward to rainy days now!

I'd also recommend: Hunter; Patagonia; 180s

Just wore on a pier during the hurricane Sandy. Stood out there in an hour while the wind whipped up to 50 mph. Waves broke under the pier, sending sea spray over our heads. With these conditions as the rain pelted, my shirt remained dry. What an awesome coat, worth every dollar spent! I highly recommend this coat!

I just received my jacket and I was excited to write up a review. I just love it! I got the blue and it is a really nice color, not too bright or cutesy at all. I need something versatile that I can wear for fun or if I need to keep dry if I am out for work and this will definitely work. I also wanted something really thin (I tend to run hot) and this fits the bill. It seems to run large, I am usually a L and I purchased a L in this but I think I could have even gotten away with a M, but I think L is best because I will be able to layer sweaters under this if I need. Five stars for the jacket and five stars for Zappos' service (as always)!

I'd also recommend: Columbia, Hurley
