I'm 5'7" 125lbs and got a 4Long, pretty true to size. I'm not very curvy and I had read that these don't fit curvy people very well which I can believe. They're medium weight but feel like they'll hold up well.

I like the length of these pants and also that when you unzip the bottoms, you have a nice pair of shorts that's not too long or too short. It does fit a little small for it's size, though, and it's rather tight in the thighs.
Brands I'd also recommend: Keen, Columbia

I normally wear size 2 (5'6, 120 lbs). But I've ordered these pants in size 4, based on reviews of The North Face Paramount Peak (very similar style) Convertible Pant (majority of women said that it runs small and advised to order a size up). I am very happy that I've read those reviews prior to ordering. Size 4 fits perfectly well. And I love these pants in all 3 lengths.
Brands I'd also recommend: Northland Professional

Much too short for tall people (I'm 5'9). Also ran small for a 12, at least on me.

I love these hiking pants and have them in two colors. I recommend the darker colors, which don't show dirt as easily. I use them for hiking/backpacking/paddling trips in all weather, alone, over a bathing suit, or over long johns and fleece pants in cold weather. The different options of shorts, rolled up capri-length pants, and long pants provide a lot of versatility, and they repel water and dirt, wash out easily, and dry quickly. I don't think they are the most fashionable or comfortable pants if you are using them for traveling in big cities, but they are excellent for their intended purpose. I expect to get many years of wear out of them.

I ordered two pair of these in grey and brown size 4 regular. I am curvy and petite at 5'0 weighing about 110, waist about 32 hips 37. These pants fit perfectly in the waist and hip. Of course they are way too long, but that's something easily remedied as there are no zippers or other fasteners at the bottom hem. The material is very sturdy, and the shorts fit above my knee. I think that these will last for years! As a matter of fact, these are the only pants that I will take on my month long trip to India and Nepal. I would not suggest them for hot climates, however, as the material is not lightweight.

Reasonably attractive in the gray, and exactly what I was looking for, but cut about two sizes too small. As a result, I cannot comment on their comfort or durability. Sadly, they will be going back.

Runs extremely small and not very long! Ordered a size 14 Tall, which is the size I order from many retailers. I could barely get the pants up...let alone zipped. And on top of that, they just came to my ankles. Very disappointed with these pants! Returning these!

I am thrilled by these pants...all they claimed to be and more...comfortable and fit like a dream. I appreciated the suggestion of ordering a size larger than I usually wear due to the cut...the size 8 fits like a dream. I am totally thrilled with the pants and Zappos ease of ordering and delivery. I look forward to future purchases!

I am very happy with these pants. I bought them for a month long trip to India and Nepal and they helf up very well, washed easily and fit quite well. I am very happy they they have a draw string at the waist as I lost about 5 pounds during the trip and the string was very helpful !

I read the previous reviews and purchased one size up and they are still too small. Waist is much lower than shown in picture. Length seems really long, too. Going to return and try another brand.
