decent shoe, but not for me - This shoe definitely runs big! The reviews are dead on about this, order a 1/2 to a full size smaller than you normally wear. I am not thrilled with the look of these shoes... I did not find them to be very attractive, so I am returning them.

This shoe looks really great but not sure about the shoe itself. There is not much arch support hence your feet get really tired after a few hours. I do not intend to use them as a water shoe but rather an informal shoe for volunteer work at our zoo.

I initially bought these shoes for hiking, but have since worn them almost daily. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and I love their all-day comfort, light weight, and style. As other reviews have suggested, they do run larger than expected, so you may need a smaller size, but I appreciate the slight additional roominess. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who likes both style and comfort. Great shoe. Great service, as always!

I am generally very satisfied with this shoe. The fit is great, but only because my feet are on the narrow side. I work outside with children and have found this pair of shoes to be quite comfortable in any weather during a variety of activities. My only complaint is the tongue slipping to the side.

WOW! People weren\\\'t joking when they said the shoes are larger than normal. I am a size 6 normally, but I had to send them back to get a size 5! I\\\'ve never worn a size 5 before. So, order a full size smaller than usual and they will be perfect!

Additional Brand Information

In 1966, two hiking enthusiasts founded a small mountaineering retail store in the heart of San Francisco's North Beach. The company soon became known as The North Face, a retailer of high-performance climbing and backpacking equipment. (The name was selected because in the Northern Hemisphere, the north face of a mountain is generally the coldest, iciest and most formidable to climb.) In 1968, The North Face began designing and manufacturing its own brand of high-performance mountaineering apparel and equipment, and in the early 1980s, extreme skiwear was added to the product offering. By the end of the decade, The North Face became the only supplier in the United States to offer a comprehensive collection of high-performance outerwear, skiwear, sleeping bags, packs and tents.

Using all types of proprietary technology, TNF provides The North Face jackets, The North Face clothes, The North Face pants, The North Face bags and The North Face shoes with quality, durability, and above all else, functionality. Throughout the years, The North Face jacket and outerwear division has set the standard in the industry. With styles such as The North Face Denali jacket and vest, The North Face Apex Bionic jackets, and The North Face Nupste jackets, The North Face jackets proves time and time again that they are at the forefront of high-performance apparel.

Their dedication to footwear is no different. With the different categories of trail running, hiking, mountaineering, and most recently ultra running, The North Face shoes division continues to raise the bar for innovation and quality in their shoes. Using proven technology such as Gore-Tex® and Gore-Tex® XCR®, their insulated footwear can sustain use in low, sub-zero temperatures, and with the innovative Boa® technology, users can have a precise fit with the ability to adjust quickly and on the fly. All features that make The North Face shoes a leader in the technical footwear arena.

The North Face’s dedication to quality can also be seen in their gear and equipment. The North Face sleeping bags with a high fill of goose down for warmth and multiple lengths. The North Face daypacks and expedition packs such as the Recon and Jester that are rugged, durable, and can hold all you gear. The North Face tents that will withstand extreme temperatures on Everest and Mt. Rainier. If you have a desire to test the limits, The North Face equipment will help you on your adventure.

I selected these shoes over The North Face Sieve for rowing in Long Island Sound as I found this a more substantial shoe. I have narrow feet and need to be able to lace up tight barefoot and these worked.

I’ve had these shoes for just under three months. I wear them three to four times a week working in a retail landscape nursery. Not only have the soles already worn out, but the "vents" in the soles have little wires that are starting to poke up into my feet! I thought much more highly of North Face before spending almost a hundred dollars on these shoes. I thought they’d be much more durable than this. Would NOT recommend. If they can’t handle gravel, they sure wouldn’t handle a rough trail.
Other Brands Recommended by Reviewer: Merrell makes a much tougher shoe.

These are great they are cute and very functional. The have great drainage and dry out quickly. I would suggest anyone looking for a great water shoe buy these. Get a half size smaller though that is for sure.

This shoe fits about a whole size below what one would normally order, normally I wear 9's, but an 8 fits comfortably. Some question to the durability however. I was lacing them up just out of the box and one of the loops holding the laces broke...

North Face Padda - I purchased this shoe in the gray/pink combo for a trip to the Caribbean. They fit well, with the exception of the tongue digging into the top of my foot due to some of the mesh lining not being sewn in correctly. With a little trimming, the problem was solved, and then they were very comfortable. Seem like they will be a good all purpose shoe for my vacation, soles are sturdy and suitable for everyday wear and they are very breathable. Not sure about water performance yet though.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Arch: No arch support Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked
Pretty good shoe - This shoe is unsurpassed when it comes to being light weight and having excellent traction. The only down fall is a lack of arch support for those that have any arch in their foot at all. I remedied this issue by taking the insoles out of my old Merrell water shoes and inserting them in this pair. It seems to be doing the job so far. The air flow is pretty good, and the mesh is pretty tight so less debris manages to get in. These do run large so I recommend getting a half size smaller than you normally would wear. They are also a smidgen wide but not enough to cause any problems.

I was pretty excited to receive the shoes, but a big disappointment on its performance. Pebbles and sand goes inside the shoes. Size is 1/2 bigger. It looks nice though.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Arch: No arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to width
COOL SHOE - I have to correct Zappos. After reading the comments, looks like most of the reviewers said the shoe is "half size larger than marked". I was a little confused since Zappos info said 76% reviewers said "the shoe felt true to size". I decided to go with what most reviewers said and ordered "half size smaller than I usually wear" (I wear size 7.5 and ordered size 7). I was very happy when I got my shoe. It fits nicely whether I wear light socks or not. The shoe has a low profile shape so it makes it look good with jeans or khaki. It's a very light weight and has a good traction, too. I love the color: gray with a yellow stripe! Btw, thanks to all the reviewers here. This is why I love buying shoes from Zappos. Not only do I get great customer service, but I also get a lot of info from other shoppers so I'm able to make good decision and saving me from returning my shoe.

I love how these shoes look, but the tongue is really uncomfortable and digs into my foot. It feels fine with socks, but that kind of defeats the purpose of a water shoe.

Tongue felt awkward - Were really cute and I wish the tongue didn't dig into the top of my foot. I have a narrow, bony foot so it was uncomfortable without socks on...which is how I would have worn them seeing as how they are meant for going in and out of water. Extremely light weight, good traction.

Love these! I hate most tennis shoes and think they look horrible on me, but these are so cute! I agree with the other review, they do fit a bit big. I'm normally a 6 1/2 and got these in a 6 and they're still a little on the big side. But they are comfy and cute. They were delivered less than 24 hours after ordering too. Love Zappos.

Love these shoes! Bought these for an extremely adventurous honeymoon in Costa Rica. Ten days of rainforest and beach hikes, rappelling down waterfalls, kayaking, white water rafting, climbing volcanic flows - you name it - these shoes got me through it. The fit was great, they were multifunctional, comfortable with or without socks, and just a little big in size for my barefeet, but fine with socks.

Great Water Shoe - I was very happy with these shoes. They didn't need a break-in period, and I was comfortable wearing them in wet conditions and going straight on to rough terrain hikes. I'd buy them again!

I use these to water walk every other day. The fit is great, plus they are easy to put on and take off. I have other water shoes, but these are the best.
