I have to say, I really like this boot, and I'm not one to get excited about boots. Typically I find them an annoying necessity in the winter. These, however, are really comfy, lightweight, and dare I say, stylish! I wanted a slip on boot that was waterproof and simple, yet more attractive than Uggs. This works to that end. The lining is comfy and with just some thin socks on my feet felt very toasty. I actually think thicker socks wouldn't feel as nice, but I suppose they still need to stretch out a bit. They are true to size for me (an exact size 6 when measured), and they don't feel too narrow or too wide. They do not slip when I walk, which is also nice. I have not tried them in the snow yet, so I cannot speak to the traction, but I trust North Face to deliver on that front. The bow in the back is adorable, and the color of the light brown is even more attractive in person- a little less red than what appears online. Overall, a great purchase!

Really disappointed in these, I could not get my feet in them. The ankle portion is too narrow to get long feet into. Granted, I have thick ankles (9 in circumference). I ordered a size 11. I had a friend, who wears a size 11 as well try them on, so the review is from his opinion. He said they're not very cushioned on the inside. I noticed that the bottom material is rather spongy, so I think the tread would wear really fast. I expected better from the brand, this is the second boot I've ordered from The North Face, and they've both been returned.

I bought these in the Viszla Brown/Silver Mink Brown (purple lining), size 7. I adore these boots, and they look fantastic with the shaft up or down, so you will really get your money's worth. Now that I've seen how they look with straight leg jeans, I would also love to have them in the black. A word about the fit: I am a true size 7, and the 7 in this boot fit me closely but still comfortably. However, I wouldn't try wearing socks with these. Also, depending on the time of day, they are sometimes difficult to pull on. If you have a long foot, thick ankles, are between shoes sizes, or wish to wear socks for sweat absorption, I'd go half a size up. If you are consistent in your shoe size, however, don't be afraid to go with your regular size.

I absolutely love these boots! I have been searching for the short boots that is comfy, cute, warm, waterproof and not Ugg (I like Ugg but the fact is that there is just way too many people wear Ugg classic short boots on the street). This boot is true to the size and it is really comfy. I haven't really worn it in the snow yet, so I cannot justify how good this boots is in terms of the waterproof and "heatseeker" function. Overall, the boot is light, and the quality is reasonable. I hoped it could keep my feet warm and dry for at least couple winters. One word on Zappos.com: I ordered the boots on Monday morning and got it on Tuesday afternoon. I was impressed by how quick the service was. I will keep shopping via Zappos for sure.

In 1966, two hiking enthusiasts founded a small mountaineering retail store in the heart of San Francisco's North Beach. The company soon became known as The North Face, a retailer of high-performance climbing and backpacking equipment. (The name was selected because in the Northern Hemisphere, the north face of a mountain is generally the coldest, iciest and most formidable to climb.) In 1968, The North Face began designing and manufacturing its own brand of high-performance mountaineering apparel and equipment, and in the early 1980s, extreme skiwear was added to the product offering. By the end of the decade, The North Face became the only supplier in the United States to offer a comprehensive collection of high-performance outerwear, skiwear, sleeping bags, packs and tents.

Using all types of proprietary technology, TNF provides The North Face jackets, The North Face clothes, The North Face pants, The North Face bags and The North Face shoes with quality, durability, and above all else, functionality. Throughout the years, The North Face jacket and outerwear division has set the standard in the industry. With styles such as The North Face Denali jacket and vest, The North Face Apex Bionic jackets, and The North Face Nupste jackets, The North Face jackets proves time and time again that they are at the forefront of high-performance apparel.

Their dedication to footwear is no different. With the different categories of trail running, hiking, mountaineering, and most recently ultra running, The North Face shoes division continues to raise the bar for innovation and quality in their shoes. Using proven technology such as Gore-Tex® and Gore-Tex® XCR®, their insulated footwear can sustain use in low, sub-zero temperatures, and with the innovative Boa® technology, users can have a precise fit with the ability to adjust quickly and on the fly. All features that make The North Face shoes a leader in the technical footwear arena.

The North Face’s dedication to quality can also be seen in their gear and equipment. The North Face sleeping bags with a high fill of goose down for warmth and multiple lengths. The North Face daypacks and expedition packs such as the Recon and Jester that are rugged, durable, and can hold all you gear. The North Face tents that will withstand extreme temperatures on Everest and Mt. Rainier. If you have a desire to test the limits, The North Face equipment will help you on your adventure.

These boots are adorable! They are great alternatives to Uggs, especially because these are weatherproof. I agree with other reviewers; if you have a higher arch order a half size up to make it easier to get the boots on/off. These are wonderfully lightweight and warm. I am so happy with them! And, as always, excellent service from Zappos.

I wear a size 11, and as a previous review said, they are hard to get on when you have big feet. I manage to get them on (I just had to tug a bit), and they look great. I know they won't keep my feet too warm in North Dakota, but I'll mainly just be walking on the sidewalks. I especially love the tie in the back.

I really like the color of the boot. They fit me perfect and were not difficult to put on as other reviews said. The only issue is that they are not very comfortable. The sole is very flat. I might try a cushion insole.

Bought these boots for a trip to NYC and they were pretty comfortable for an entire day of walking. Kept my feet warm and dry. Bought them in a 7 based on the reviews - usually I wear 6.5 and they fit great. My favorite thing is that if you wear boot cut jeans you have a choice of tucking your jeans in (although not a ton of room) or wearing them outside of the boots if it is dry out.

When I received these shoes I was really excited. Like another review says, if you have a long foot, good luck getting the boot onto your feet. I had a struggle. Also, when I took off the boots, I got a rip on the inside seam while taking it off.

I absolutely love these boots! Finally some cute waterproof boots! I normally wear a 7.5, but these fit true to size and I was able to wear both thin and thick socks with them. I was also able to test these out in the snow and they had amazing traction and didn't get soaked like my Bearpaws did. Great boots that will get you compliments!
