After trying on 10-15 jackets I decided on the North Face Condor. I had to go up a size from my previous Columbia jacket, as North Face seems to run smaller in the chest and shoulder area. I'd recommend trying on one before buying. It has a nice fit and is pretty warm if you are moving around a little. I was out in -30 deg. below zero wind chills and was comfortable. The inner jacket is a lot better than the fleece I had in my Columbia jacket for wind and rain. I got this at Zappos.com for $20 cheaper than the retail store I was looking at - and they had free next-day shipping. Score!

I purchased one each for my 2 grandsons, 15 years and 17 years. They both are outdoorsmen and love their jackets. They walk to school and can brave the winter weather in dry warmth and style. Good investment for my super active grand kids!!

Fit - So I had bought (from Zappos) the black Condor jacket in large and it did not fit. I am 6'0 190lb (44 long suit size if that helps anyone, athletic build) I returned it for a X-Large. I received the jacket today. The internal fleece fits very well with the sleeves covering down to the middle of my thumb; perfect. As for the jacket it is a little big (shell alone) now. I suppose I am in between sizes. Combined, the jacket fits well but it is not a athletic fit which I prefer. Performance - Wore the jacket outside with flurries in 25 degree weather and it was very warm. Took the shell off and wore the tech fleece and was perfect. I was disappointed not to find armpit vents. Unlike the cheaper (triclimate) shells, the fabric is like my old TNF jacket. It is a harder material and feels much more durable. Ran the sleeve under the faucet and it beads water off very fast with 100% no saturation. Service from Zappos - I bought the jacket (lg) on Tuesday returned it and received the X-LG on Friday...now that is service. Overall I give this jacket 5 stars, it is very warm. The fit is fine. You won't be disappointed.

I bought this for my husband. He reports that during the entire winter in upstate NY, not a puff of wind got through the zipper or any seams. It is as waterproof as a raincoat and moisture literally beads up like it's rubber. He quite literally wore it every single day from December through February.

Bought this for my 21 year old son. He bikes all year round, so needed a jacket/coat to suit the weather and the activity. He loves this coat. Not cheap, good quality. Worth the money.

The jacket is great! I love how I can wear the two pieces together for added warmth or apart. It is nice to have a warm jacket that is waterproof. The only down side of the jacket is that it is not super warm. If you are looking for something that is going to keep you really warm without doing activity in it, then a different style might be right for you. Overall, I am very pleased with the jacket and the service at Zappos!

Great jacket! Bought it for my son. He thought the inner jacket was a little snug, but after a few wearings it was fine. He wore it in a very bad rain storm with severe winds and he said the jacket kept him warm and dry. Fast service. Thanks Zappos.

This is a great jacket, it keeps the wind out, and I stay warm. It's true to size. I liked it so much I ordered one for my brother but in a different color.
Brands I'd also recommend: Just North Face, a lot of different styles and selection

This is a great jacket. It fits well (large) compared to several jackets that seem to have a tighter fit. It's priced the same as other websites, but you can't beat free shipping both ways.

Bought this jacket for my boyfriend for Xmas and it looks and feels great. I would definitely recommend ordering up a size as another reviewer recommended. He consistently wears size large (6'0", about 175lb), and the large was quite snug on him with just a t-shirt on.
Brands I'd also recommend: patagonia,
