This is a great jacket for my 2 1/2 year old son. It stands up to lots of washings and still looks brand new. I plan to pass it down to his infant brother eventually, and I can tell it will be in fine shape when the time comes. It's very warm (he sweats in it even when it's very cold outside), but not too thick to make buckling the car seat difficult. It's a perfect weight. He likes to put things in the generously sized pockets, too. The arms are a great length for him, not too short or too long. The black part at the top wipes down easily for cleaning (which is where food usually lands), so I don't have to wash it every time he gets himself dirty. I bought a Columbia version of this jacket last year, and the North Face is 100 times better in quality. I'll buy one of these for him every year.
