I am very pleased with these super cute boots. I have looked high and low for a pair of waterproof yet stylish boots that are also comfortable. And folks, it has not been easy! When I saw these, I read every review (even ones on other websites), and almost every one of them were very positive. That definitely helped me make my decision. I purchased the grey ones in a size 7.5 (I do not like the other colors in this style). I have a wide foot, so I can usually wear a 7 - 7.5 depending on how the shoe is made. To my surprise I actually had to exchange these for a size 7, but before sending them back I tried them on with my thickest socks and even put in my orthotic inserts. They were still too long in the foot (my toes had way too much space at the end), so I returned them. The size 7 fits perfectly, even w/my thicker socks, and they seem to have good traction. I walk from work to home, so I need a functional boot that looks great. I found it! I've had them on all day now, and they are very comfy. I have not tried my orthotics in them yet. I may or may not put them in. I may just put a good shoe pad in that has some sort of arch support. These have minimal arch support which isn't bothering me a bit.

These are wonderful. Very comfortable, warm, and stylish. Fit is just right. This is not really a boot to wear for shoveling snow or other outdoor work, but it's a nice winter boot for day to day wear.

These boots are great. They're lighter than I expected, which is nice because I'm not a fan of heavy boots. When I first put them on they were hurting my ankles, but that's because there's a flap type part of the boot on the inside where it laces up on the outside that was folded over. I recommend holding the top of that part of the boot when you put them on, then it won't fold incorrectly. I wish there was more cushion to the sole but overall a very comfortable and cute pair of boots. They are keeping my feet very warm!I got them in black but kind of want them in gray too. :)

The flap in the back of the boot proved to be somewhat of a challenge when putting the boots on, so I poked 2 holes in the top of the flap and ran the lace through them and tied them on the outside of the boot and, voila! It solved the problem. They slip on now without a hitch!

These boots are wonderful. They are very comfortable. I bought them for a trip to NY City, and I used them every day to walk around and my feet never hurt and they were very warm. The best winter boot! I sized up to put my thick socks.

Exactly as described with only one small difference...seems to run about a half size small. Otherwise, these boots are stylish and comfortable. I haven't tested them in snow yet so not sure how they'll hold up then.

The North Face is a wonderful boot (it's a little hard to tie it, cause I am paralyzed on the right side) but I really do love it!

Brands I'd also recommend: I don't know of anyone that would buy it, but I still get alot of good comments on it plus other shoes that I have purchased.

I'd never seen a pair of shoes with more positive 5 star reviews- then I got them and have to agree. Capacious: initially tried on with thick woolen socks... they were tight for a minute or two, then perfect. They're light, easy, and cool looking. I added arch supports, and they still fit!

I've loved North Face clothing and outerwear, and these boots are the same high quality. I wanted a pair of warm, functional winter boots that look good too, and these are the perfect solution. They're comfortable, warm and cozy. I have not put the waterproofing to a serious test, but when walking on snowy sidewalks, driveways, etc., my feet have stayed completely dry and warm. Highly recommend!

Comfortable, yet stylish. Warm, yet not overbearing. I loved these boots. I bought these boots half a size larger based on the reviews and they fit perfect. Definitely buy these boots half a size larger. They are meant to be shown. Even though there are taller boots out there that you can wear under jeans, these boots will show. However they are so cute, I do not mind at all. You will get a lot of compliments. I got them in grey. Zappos' shipping is amazing. I lived in Puerto Rico and it took four days including the day of the order to get here. Incredible!

I was looking for a warm boot to wear with skinny jeans & skirts/dresses. I own a lot of black and gray clothes, therefore, I ordered the black boots with the grey faux fur and stitching. I wore them for the first time running errands for about 5 hours in the 20 degree temperature. My feet stayed very comfortable. The boots do have great cushioning on the heel, though not much arch support. I think they are very cute and functional. Don't think I'll shovel snow in them, however, they are great casual boots.

These are lovely boots! They're so warm and comfortable. I walk about a mile to work in the morning, and my feet are all so happy. I'm wearing them with a skirt, under jeans, over jeans... these boots are amazing!

I ordered these based on the photo, the specifications and the reviews. I was happy to discover that they fit true to size, match the photo well and are as comfortable as the reviews say. I was surprised by how lightweight the boots feel and how well they fit. Obviously, they are not tight - the laces in the back allow you to fit them to your calf. But, I was expecting much bulkier boots and these are not bulky. They are exceptionally warm and comfortable from the very first wearing. There is no breaking in period. I was not blown away by their appearance when I first put them on. In fact, if I had tried them on in a store, I am not sure that I would have purchased them. There is something about the height and the color. But, since a friend lugged them to another country for me, I sucked it up, put them on and went out. Now, I do not regret this purchase for one second. They are so warm and comfortable. The appearance has grown on me. I am glad that I bought them.

I love these boots! They are very comfortable and warm, and they fit perfectly. They are too warm to wear inside for long, so they will only be outdoor boots for me, but I'm so glad I bought them. They're very high quality and well-made. If you have very skinny calves, they might be too wide unless you wear thick socks or jeans inside the boots. I have wider calves, and they fit me just right, and they should fit ladies with very wide calves because they lace up the back! These are definitely winners: highly recommended.

These were a bit shorter than expected. However they fit nicely, and have plenty of room. They are really comfy, and keep your feet really warm. Have not tried them in snow yet, but looking forward to it.

These are so warm, lightweight and comfortable. They go with jeans or dresses (had to get them for a January New York trip)...the laces in the back make them a little dressy so they're versatile - perfect.

I love these boots. They are warm and comfortable while still being stylish. I will echo what others have said about the lack of arch support. I have low arches, so I definitely noticed, but I slipped some insoles in, and they're perfect now :)
